everysecondtuesday: glasses and milk tea in the morning (Default)
[personal profile] everysecondtuesday
Hi! I love all of the fandoms and ships I'm requesting, so if something is longer or shorter than its counterparts, it's due to how much I had to say, not how much I love the request. Some got a lot, some got none. I may have thoughts on only some of these tags, but I love them all.

Also, as ever and always, I would like to emphasize, please don't feel obligated to read this letter in its entirety (or at all!). If you already have an idea of what you want to do from just the AO3 requests, go for it! This is all to (I hope) make it easier on you, and I am a big believer in optional details being optional. There being fic for my fandoms will make me happy. Everything else is icing on delicious, delicious cake. Every single optional prompt/additional thought is very, very optional.

If I flub the letter writing and editing process and mention something in my letter that is not on AO3 and in my sign-ups or if I phrase something poorly, I'd also like to emphasize that that's on me and you're free to pretend you didn't see it (or to ask the mods if you're still concerned). My DNWs are all listed under DNWs in my optional details on AO3. If it's something not listed under DNWs, then that's a preference, but I'm still going to read/look at and comment on your fic and (if history is anything to judge) be really happy with it.

For ease of stalking: tuesday on AO3, everysecondtuesday on tumblr.

On past gifts: I've received fic in the past for several of my requested fandoms, which I loved! I just want more. If you matched me on it, I am sure I will love whatever you make me, whether it's along the lines of the gifts I've already received or something entirely new.

On other gifts: I am always open to art treats and late gifts. If I've requested it on an AO3 exchange, I still want it, even years later. I'm not asking for art for an assignment for this particular exchange because I didn't have the room for art only requests (or even for all the fandoms I wanted to request), but I love art and am always open to receiving it. I'm not expecting it, but if you're looking to treat someone with art for something I'm requesting, I would be overjoyed for that person to be me.

Recursive works: If you have authorial permission (blanket or otherwise), I do not mind recursive fic or art of past gifts, my own fic, or certain other beloved fic you know I've read. (Specifically thinking of DoS thanks to a EAD conversation recently, but I'm sure there are others; you can always check through the mod, and I will do my best to get back to them quickly.)

Format Likes: I like all ratings for works, from General Audiences to Explicit. I like all mediums of art, especially digital and traditional. For fic, I'm open to any length of fic, from drabbles and drabble series to just over the min to sprawling epics. I like both traditional fic and non-traditional and experimental formats, including interactive fiction, epistolary, and multimedia. I prefer past or present tense. I generally prefer third person (especially consistent third person limited where POV shift only happens in scene breaks or doesn't happen at all) or a match to canon (which in some cases is going to be first or second). (I'm open to everything! These are just preferences.)

General Likes: worldbuilding, humor, horror, crack, canon-divergent AUs, other types of AUs (magic, cyberpunk, steampunk, regency, everyone lives, end of the world, sentinel and other fusions), IN SPACE, family and found family, friendship, machinations, intrigue, time travel, mysteries, time loops, magic, shenanigans, political negotiations, alliances of convenience, plot, developing relationships/friendships, character has the chance to re-do/relive events, reincarnation, mysteries, comedy of errors, competence, communication, codas, future fic.

Horror Likes: ghosts and ghost stories, monsters, isolation, trapped together, apocalypses and the post-apocalyptic life thereafter, murder mysteries, creeping horror, non-euclidean geometry and architecture, eldritch horrors, unethical experimentation, cannibalism (by choice or by necessity; knowing or unknowing), the undead, A.I. gone horribly wrong, A.I. gone horribly right, body horror, monkey's paws, artifacts of doom, mimics and people lures, plant monsters and killer horticulture, gallows humor.

Ship Likes: Soulmates and/or soul bonds. Alternate first meetings. Mutual pining. Didn't know they're dating, mistaken for dating, and fake dating. Undercover as a couple. Matchmaking and arranged marriages and courting. Friends to lovers. Extended courtships and whirlwind romance. Woke up married. Truth serum and trapped together and handcuffed together. Magic curses. Gestures of affection and intimacy. Firsts (dates, kisses, times).

Hurt/comfort: I have a whole host of freeforms I loved that I requested for hurt/comfort exchange + some thoughts on h/c at my h/c letter (overlapping specific fandom requests: Crossover Tony/Tony, Dragon Age Hawke/Varric, Fallout 4 Deacon/Sole Survivor, MCU Peter/Tony, Naruto Guy/Kakashi).

Smut Likes: all things vanilla, aftercare, anal with men on the receiving end (m/m, f->m, but not m->f or f/f), anal fingering with men on the receiving end (m/m, f->m, but not m->f or f/f), bathing together, biting, blood play and/or still bleeding (characters roughed up from other causes and everyone still being dtf, especially), bondage/restraint (especially handcuffs, silk rope, ties or other things being repurposed, honor bondage), breath play, bruising, clothing kink, come-eating, cuddling, desperation, dirty talk, edging, electrostimulation, emotional sex/emotions during sex, enthusiastic consent, f/m pegging, face-fucking, face-sitting, face touching, first times (together or ever), for science!, frottage, gentleness, handholding, hair-petting, hair-pulling, held down, hickeys, hurt/comfort, impact play (but not as punishment), "inappropriate" use of magic/the Force/superpowers/technology, kissing, kneeling, laughter/joking around/banter during sex, loyalty kink, making out, manhandling, marking, masochism, massage, mating cycles/in heat (please all parties into each other beforehand), mentor/protege, multiple orgasms, object insertion, omega-verse, oral sex, overstimulation, oviposition, pain play, pervertibles, praise kink, robot sex, rimming (clean only), rushed sex, scent-marking, service kink, sensation play, sounding, switching, sugar daddy kink (but not use of the word "daddy"/daddy kink), tenderness, toys, trust, voice kink, voyeurism (consensual only), vulnerability.

If you'd like more thoughts on smut likes or to see prompts and freeforms I've requested in the past, I wrote a letter for smut swap (overlapping specific fandom requests: Crossover Tony/Tony, Dragon Age Hawke/Varric, Fallout 4 Deacon/Sole Survivor, MCU Peter/Tony, Naruto Guy/Kakashi).

Art Likes: I like rough sketches and clean line art both, bright and dark colors to set mood, comics, scenery, single and group character poses, the cute and the creepy. It's always difficult for me to say what I like in art, because the truth is, everything. All stages, all skill levels, all types, I always like seeing what someone else comes up with. Feel free to go as explicit or as G-rated as you'd like. I especially like character expressions and things that set mood (color, body language, composition, etc). Some non-explicit poses I especially like for ships are characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), face touching, and pressing their foreheads together. For explicit poses, feel free to take anything from my smut likes, but for something visual, I especially like bruises and marks, bondage, and hair-petting or pulling.

General DNWs:
- Hopelessly unhappy endings. (Unless it's DF or Rubyquest.)
- Unrequested permanent requested character death. (Opting in for DF.)
- Suicidal ideation.
- Focus on unrequested serious illness.
- Graphic eye trauma.
- Infidelity, characters thinking they're engaged in infidelity, or major focus on/long scenes in which characters think the other character is being unfaithful.
- Focus on unrequested ships.
- Underage romantic or sexual relationships.
- Actually unrequited love between requested / ship (characters can think it is, but I would like them to be wrong). (Unless it's DF.)
- Unrequested dub- or non-con or rape play (for dubcon likes or prompts, I'd prefer all parties to already be into each other in cases where consent is affected).
- Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master."
- The spelling "cum" (as opposed to "come").
- Bestiality. (All non-humans sentient, please.)
- Unrequested kink.

These specific AUs: mundane AUs, anything to do with religion (besides Jedi/Sith/the Force or Lovecraftian/eldritch cults or in universe marriage traditions), the mob/organized crime, prisons, slavery, sex work, or which would involve student/school teacher. (All other AUs are dearly beloved; I'm only mentioning these because I do tend to ask for various AUs, and I'm just not into these particular ones.)

DNW Clarifications and Explications:
Hopelessly unhappy endings: I'd prefer either a happy ending or the sense that there's a roadmap to get there. (Unless it's DF or Rubyquest.)

Unrequested permanent requested character death: Impermanent requested character death is fine and baked into a few of my likes and canons. I would like all requested characters to be alive at the end of the story unless the prompt/freeform actually goes there (see: Ghost Marriage, Living Spouse Time Travels To Relive Their Wedding Day With Their Spouse Who Has Since Passed Away) or you are writing Kreia as a Force ghost who sticks around. Wrt Endgame, you can set things pre-canon events, have them miraculously survive, have canon diverge, etc., and I will take it.

Graphic eye trauma: Non-descriptive references are fine.

Infidelity etc.: Poly outside of MCU Peter/Tony is fine. (In my sign-up and the fandom section, though, it is a definite DNW in MCU for Peter/Tony unless it's with other Peters/Tonys as requested.) I don't want anyone confused on the fact that it is poly, not cheating. In general, my major concern is to avoid a) definitely cheating in any direction, b) something in which one part of the ship thinks the other part is in a closed relationship and that's what the main ship is engaging in, c) something in which one half of a closed relationship believes the other is cheating on them and we the audience are likely to also think that's what's going on and which comprises a major, ongoing part of the story as opposed to something brief and mistaken.

Underage romantic or sexual relationships: Everyone in a relationship should be 18+, please. For something like Peter/Tony, you can go with a) setting a fic later, b) feelings that aren't currently going to be realized, c) aging up within the setting/everything stays the same, but Peter is older, d) time travel shenanigans, e) something else I haven't thought of, but maybe you have.

Actually unrequited love between requested / ships: Characters can think it is, but I would like them to be wrong. (Unless it's DF.)

Unrequested dub- or non-con or rape play: You're fine to include dubcon from my current likes or requests from this year's smut swap or h/c exchange letters. I'd prefer anything with consent affected (e.g. sex pollen, aphrodisiacs) for all characters involved in sex to already be into each other. I do not want non-con or rape play.

Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master": Mentioning this because I have a lot of BDSM-related or adjacent likes. It wouldn't ruin my night or fic, but I'm not super into the formalized contract thing or it being the focus of a relationship/what the relationship is primarily about, and I don't want to accidentally set any traps for my author. I'm fine with and enjoy non-formalized play, with people having fun with pain, bondage, some power dynamics (e.g. Peter calling Tony "Mr. Stark" in bed), etc.

Unrequested kink: I have a long list of smut likes for guidance and linked my smut swap letter, too, but please don't tie yourself in knots over this/worry about, "Does this count as a kink? I don't think it's a kink/think it's pretty vanilla, but what if Tuesday disagrees?" I'm going to always assume good faith here.

Specific AUs: If it's not AU, it's perfectly fine to include in-universe religious things like getting married at a church or characters rebuilding the Jedi Order, etc. Also worldbuilding for DF. What I'm specifically trying to exclude are AUs like, "What if Shawn was a priest?" or "What if the Avengers were a cult?" or "What if Puck was actually a demon?" wherein the focus of the 'verse is suddenly on a religious aspect that wasn't there previously. Wrt mundane AUs, I'd like 'verses with fantastical elements to keep those elements or equivalents thereof. For something like a coffee shop AU, Hawke is either still a mage or still has a mage sister. For something like a regency AU, Tony Stark still builds tech leagues ahead of everyone else and Peter still got superpowers. For something like In Space, the Librarians still have weird objects to contend with. Human AUs for Rubyquest are fine.

Crossover Fandom (Ultimates Tony/616 Tony) (fic):

Marvel comics DNW: None.

- Getting Married to Extend Legal Rights/Protections to Partner
- Marrying Alternate Versions of Themselves to Save the Multiverse
- Person travels to another universe and marries there
- Woke Up Married

Things I like about this canon:

I feel like there's a whole list of things I like and that drive me up a wall about comics, but one thing I do love about the specific comics and characters I'm requesting is: Tony Stark. You can probably tell by the fact that I am requesting two of him. These Tonys are rather different, but I love them both a lot. They both try their best and keep getting back up no matter what life throws at them. They're smart, driven, and (sometimes despite their best efforts) care deeply.

Now I would like them to kiss, please. /o\

Other notes:

I have not read every bit of canon (there is ... so much), but I'm okay with missing a reference if you're okay with including it. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Dragon Age (Varric Tethras/Hawke) (fic):

Dragon Age DNW: Permanent death of any of Hawke's companions or their household, including (especially) Dog. Actually, any death at all of Dog.

Tags:

- "We Could Be Dead Tomorrow So Let's Get Married Today": They lead dangerous lives. Let them have something nice.
- Arranged Marriage - mutual pining between spouses: This is a trope I'm easy for.
- Arranged Marriage Contract Bought Out By Someone Else: I'm interested in seeing this go either way, Hawke or Varric doing the buying.
- Avoiding arranged marriage by marrying someone else: Hawke never wanted to get married, but if they have to, best be to the best friend they're actually in love with.
- Both Spouses Are In Love But Believe The Other Is In The Marriage Out Of Obligation: Why are they obligated to get married? I don't know. I know only I want this.
- Chastity Device Only Unlocks upon Marriage to Person Who Accidentally Applied It: Hawke/Varric cannot go the rest of their lives without getting laid. Guess they need to get married to the person they've been in love with for years now. Such a shame. What a hardship. Oh, they're married now, so guess they have to sleep with the one person they want above all others, too. For the rest of their lives. What a terrible fate.
- Disastrous Wedding Ceremony Everyone Will Gossip About For Years: Feel free to go as funny or full on horror movie with this as you like. Is it disastrous because a demon possessed a wedding guest to object, because they fell in love with Hawke while they were in the Fade? Because their wedding guests started a fight with each other? Because the Templars crashed the party? Because of something else? Because of all of the above?
- Everyone Thought They Were Already Married: Maybe Hawke sometimes forgot they weren't yet, too. Time to take care of this oversight.
- Everyone thought they were joking about getting married: Joke's on them. Hawke is expecting those wedding gifts.
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Legally Binding: How? I don't know. I would like to.
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Magically Binding: See above, but with magic!
- Marriage Arranged Because of Matching Soulmarks: Hawke and Varric, soulmates. *___*
- Marriage Assumed to be Fake/Done as Prank is Actually Legally Binding: Do their friends assume it's a prank, or is this a joke played on everyone, because Hawke and Varric thought it was fake, too?
- Marriage to Satisfy Life-Debt / Life-Debt is Considered Marriage: What is the life debt? Idk. But I think they're dwarven married now.
- Marrying to save someone from an arranged political marriage: Who is saving whom here? Either way, it will be great.
- Supposedly Fake Marriage Is Accidentally Real: Why did they fake it? How was it made real? These are questions only you can answer.
- Time Loop Can Only Be Ended Through Marriage: Time loops and marriage. Two great things that go great together.
- Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married: Yesss. Just. No thoughts, only the need to have this.
- Woke Up Married: A classic for a reason.

Things I like about this canon:

Not gonna lie, Varric is my fave. I am still disappointed I did not get to make Hawke/Varric be an in-game thing and will probably be torn between delight and indignation if we're ever allowed to romance him in future games. Hawke is an absolute disaster, and I can really appreciate that in a character. I love Hawke a lot is what I'm saying. Hawke/Varric is my OTP. DAII is probably still my favorite, but I love the 'verse and its many characters.

Other notes:

My favorite Hawke is purple mage Hawke, but I love all Hawkes, and you can choose whichever you please. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Dwarf Fortress (Dwarf & Forgotten Beast) (fic):

Dwarf Fortress DNW: Focus on sexual content or explicit humanoid/non-humanoid sex. Cat death as a result of direct dwarf action/cats as part of the meat/soap/leather industry. (Indirect kitten bombs unleashed on unsuspecting forgotten beasts: fine! Cats dying in glorious battle: also fine! Dwarves taking a direct hand in the catsplosion problem: not okay.)

Dwarf Fortress General DNW Exceptions: For the purposes of my DNWs, I am opting in to unhappy endings, permanent requested character death, and unrequited love. Go wild, here. Also, if it's set in universe and there are weird religion things you want to do worldbuilding with, feel free! :D

- Eldritch Marriage Ritual, Marriage Offer as Act of Appeasement

Things I like about this canon and general canon promotion:

Dwarf Fortress is a (free!) simulation game with a steep learning curve, but a huge pay-off in highly entertaining emergent story-telling and weird dwarven decisions. This can include anything from new mothers in the military taking their babies into battle to use as shields to tantrum-throwing dwarves (upset that their babies are now full of arrows) destroying the whole fortress and killing everyone in it by hitting the lever to your "magma solves everything" doomsday device.

It's also coming to Steam!

I'm including in the links several comics that illustrate many of the best things about DF.

Links:
Dev site (includes download)
DF Wiki
Tim Denee's illustrated tale of Bronzemurder (includes transcript of comic's text)
Tim Denee's Oilfurnace (no transcript, spoilers for hidden fun stuff)
Three Panel Soul, "Bug Fix" (Illustrated patch notes, e.g. "Stopped vampires from pinning their crimes on children.")
Losing is fun!

I will never not love this game. When I first started playing it, it was a very different game than it is now, but it has only gotten better. I have embraced the mantra that losing is fun, discovered all the hidden fun stuff, and even managed attempts at mega projects and tried my hand at silly dwarf tricks. (Few survived the first several attempts at a magma-fall through the main dining room, but those few left were delighted at how neat it looked! ... For however long they lived after the ensuing grief stricken tantrum spiral. Apparently a magma fountain can only do so much.)

Other notes:

Whatever you want to write about, I am excited for fic in this fandom. If there's something I didn't nominate that you'd like to explore, I am throwing the gates wide open. Give me DF marriage or courtship or trying to propose to appease bronze colossi. I am open to whatever so long as it follows my DNWs and has something that can apply to the freeform tag set.

Fallout 4 (Deacon/Sole Survivor, Glory/Female Sole Survivor) (fic):

Fallout 4 DNW: Permanent death of any non-Institute companions, pet (or traditionally a pet, e.g. cats and dogs) death, Sole Survivor siding with the Institute or the Brotherhood.

- All Agree To Marriage For Both Urgent Practical Reasons And Love - One Doesn’t Realize/Believe This
- Woke Up Married

Things I like about this canon:

Deacon is my absolute favorite companion, and it's a crying shame we cannot romance him. I love his humor, his disguises, his lies, and the way, despite everything, he really, truly genuinely cares. I loved running into him as a guard just outside Diamond City and as a trader elsewhere (his comment about "for trade things" made me laugh and wonder, "Are you even trying anymore?") and just--pretty much every time I turned around, and I love that he vouches for you even if you haul ass straight to the Railroad at level one as a complete nobody. He has no reason to have faith in the Sole Survivor, but he does. I love best a Sole Survivor who does their best to bear out that faith, as someone who gives him hope again, if not in their words, then their actions. Also, sarcasm buddies for life.

And Glory! Omg, Glory. She is one of my absolute faves. I love her. I loved getting to go on a mission with her. She is just the best. I'm sorry that this isn't helpful, but all I really have is helpless flailing. From the second she pointed a huge-ass mini-gun at my character, I was head over feet.

Other notes:

I love all types of Sole Survivors. My favorite is a sarcastic/curious Sole Survivor, but again: I love them all. Whatever name you want to use, whether it's the default or otherwise, I am fine with. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

The Librarians (Cassandra Cillian/Ezekiel Jones/Jake Stone) (fic):

The Librarians DNW: Permanent named Librarians character death. Cassandra/Ezekiel/Jake as a v relationship (all three in love and/or attracted to each other, please!).

Tags:
- Accidentally married to two persons
- Alien Artifact Creates Marriage: Or sub in magical artifact or anything else that belongs in (is already in?) the Library.
- Accidentally Included Unwitting Third Party In Marriage: Who is the unwitting third party of these three? I leave that up to you.
- Arranged marriage with both in love with third party: I'd love for this to end in all three in love.
- Chastity Device Only Unlocks upon Marriage to Person Who Accidentally Applied It: What if two of them accidentally apply it to the third?
- Computer error in marriage lottery matches an "extra" person: Is it a computer error? Or is it Ezekiel et al making the system work in their favor? Any direction you want to take this.
- Disastrous Wedding Ceremony Everyone Will Gossip About For Years: What does it look like when Librarians get married?
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Legally Binding
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Magically Binding
- Marriage To Prevent Apocalypse
- Marriage to Stop Eldritch Forces From Re-Entering The World
- Proposal attempts keep being thwarted by circumstances: All three of them trying to propose, all three getting stopped by Library shenanigans.
- Woke Up Poly-Married

Things I like about this canon: This show was so much fun and lighthearted and a joy. I loved best the weird things they got up to, but the characters (especially these three!) brought me a lot of joy, and I loved the way they all bounced off of each other. My favorite episodes were when Ezekiel kept resetting and was the only one who remembered they were caught in a video game and the one with the storybook town. I loved the marriage of absurdity with adventure and the joy of discovery.

Other notes: When it comes to explicit fic (or otherwise), I do not care who does what to whom.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (Peter Parker/Tony Stark) (fic):

MCU DNWs: Poly in this specific fandom for the requested / ship. Contentious break-up between Tony and Pepper. (For Peter/Tony and my infidelity DNW, I would like to point to: they never got back together post-Civil War or they have an amicable break-up. If you want, you don't even need to mention it, and I will go with my reading of choice.) Morgan existing only to be erased from existence within the story (never existing in the first place in the story is fine). Death of anyone important to Peter or Tony (e.g. May, Pepper, Ned, Rhodey), except impermanent requested character death. Death at all of Goose. (Essentially: Tony or Peter can die in time loops that are reset or die and be resurrected in other ways, but please don't kill Tony or Peter's other loved ones or Goose at all.)

For "Person Mistaken For Mail-Order Spouse and Goes With It," please don't have them have sex without the other person aware that this is not their original intended mail-order spouse. (I'm assuming Tony is the one ordering here, but I'm keeping an open mind.)

DNW Explications:

Usually, I'm happy to receive poly, but for Peter/Tony, I do not want poly. Current canon relationships can be dealt with via amicable break-up or never having happened. You can also just not mention them, and I will happily go with my preferred reading. If you want to include Morgan, you can have her exist as either "two friends having a kid together" or go with "and then, despite having a kid together, Pepper and Tony did not work out." If she exists within the story, however, I do not want her subsequently erased from existence through time travel or other circumstances. Looking specifically at my "Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married" prompt here, but just in general, too. It's also fine to have an AU without Morgan having existed in the first place. It's existing, then not that I'm trying to avoid here.

Regarding character death, Tony or Peter can die in time loops that are reset or die and be resurrected in other ways, but please don't kill their other loved ones at all. I'm fine if you want to include parts of Endgame happening so long as something happens to fix it (resurrection, a re-do, Tony miraculously survives.) I want all my requested characters alive at the end of the fic.

Tags (extra prompts super optional, feel free to ignore):
- Algorithmic selected marriage: Did Tony make the algorithm and now he must live with the consequences? Is this a government thing? I'm v. curious to see where you take this.
- Alien Artifact Creates Marriage
- Arranged Marriage Contract Bought Out By Someone Else: Tony thought he was doing Peter a favor. Peter is actually expecting Tony to marry him.
- Bringing someone back to life constitutes marriage: Tony's alive! ... And married. But not to Pepper.
- Character Entering Into M/M Marriage Invents Mpreg In Hopes Of Pleasing Their Spouse With An Heir: I'd love to see this either way.
- Chastity Device Only Unlocks upon Marriage to Person Who Accidentally Applied It: The one time Tony accepts something someone hands him, and Peter accidentally applies a chastity device.
- Drunken Marriage (Vegas Edition): Do they remember and just make this decision while drunk? Do they have to piece it together the morning after?
- Fake Marriage Made Real by Helpful Third Party: FRIDAY is just being helpful.
- Fake Wedding To Obtain Gifts From Rich People (and they really RSVP): V. optional, but a couple thoughts: 1) alternate first meetings, in which Ned and Peter get drunk and have a great idea and think, "well, it's not like they're going to actually come," in the morning, only to have Tony Stark RSVP, because he recognizes that name. Unfortunately, Peter is even hotter in person, oh, no, Tony is not a homewrecker. Peter and Ned stage a break-up? (Oh, no. Tony is definitely a homewrecker without even getting sex out of the bargain.) Peter comes clean? Tony actually knew the whole time and is just the kind of asshole to RSVP to a fake wedding? 2) Peter and Ned did not actually mean to send those invites, but now Tony's RSVPed, and he's kind of hurt that Peter didn't let him know sooner. Of course he's willing to pay for it all. Let him just take over and sublimate all his pining and thwarted feelings into wedding plans. Peter's going to get the best wedding. (Peter has no idea how to tell Tony he doesn't want a wedding, because he's not getting married.) Something-something maybe Tony and Peter get to use those wedding plans after all.
- Fannish "Married On The Astral Plane" Claims Magically Develop Real World Repercussions: It was supposed to be a joke. Magic has made it not a joke.
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Magically Binding: Everyone else knew better than to answer the shady mystical figure. Peter opened his big mouth and flippantly said, "Fuck Tony Stark, marry Tony Stark, kill Thor." So now he's stuck trying to kill Thor every time he shows up (Thor is having a great time! Peter shows spirit even when he's like, "wtf, no, I didn't actually want to kill you; you were just being unreasonably cheerful and attractive and Tony was checking out your ass.") and, uh, very much not trying to kill Tony except maybe a little death (Tony ... has very complicated feelings about this).
- Marriage to Stay Undercover Unexpectedly Results in Soul Bond
- Person Mistaken For Mail-Order Spouse and Goes With It: I don't want any sex taking place while anyone is under the misapprehension that the other person was their original intended mail-order spouse. Other than that, I'm really excited for anything. My favorite thought is Tony has to marry for Reasons, the mail order spouse was waylaid, and FRIDAY, knowing this, is like, "That one, Mr. Hogan. Grab that one," because of everyone passing the courthouse there's a 90% chance Peter says yes to marrying Tony and signing the prenup without too much of a fuss. Peter does, in fact, say yes to marrying Tony, like, "What? Tony Stark needs to get married? I am on the list? Yes, I will take this. Where do I sign?" Tony also goes with it, because this isn't the bride he ordered, but Peter's hot, he looks kind of familiar, and he trusts FRIDAY to know what she's doing.
- Real Wedding Night for Fake Marriage: For verisimilitude and no other reason, obviously. Obviously. How is Peter supposed to pretend he's having married sex if he doesn't know what married sex is like?
- Resurrection Ritual Requires Marriage: Peter finds a way to bring Tony back. It requires marrying him, but that's a sacrifice Spider-Man is willing to make.
- Resurrection Sex Spell Gone Wrong Results in Unbreakable Magical Marriage Bond: Just going to emphasize again the 18+ thing. I'd prefer everyone to already have caught feelings beforehand.
- Time Loop Can Only Be Ended Through Marriage
- Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married
- Truth serum induces unexpected proposal: Who is proposing? I am good with either.
- Woke Up Married

Things I like about Peter/Tony:

I adore both of these characters, but I did not ship it until I watched this vid, at which point I was sold.

I enjoy mentor/protege relationships in general, but I think what I like the most about this, besides the setting and characters all taken individually, is the genuine affection they have for each other. Tony maybe has some unrealistic and unreasonable expectations for a fifteen year old ("I wanted you to be better"), complete with the lack of awareness from someone who was attending MIT at that age, but it's clear that he has high hopes for Peter from the very beginning and sees him as someone who can grow into a real hero. On Peter's side, he admires Tony not just as some distant idol, but as an actual person, and he seemed devastated at disappointing him. I love that in IW, Tony is able to describe in a handful of words what the problem is, and immediately Peter is on the same page. You can really see where they've gotten comfortable with each other, and I loved watching them really mesh on the fight scenes.

Whether it's platonic or otherwise, they click really well and have a really fun dynamic.

Other notes:

I have seen all of the MCU films. So long as you follow my DNWs, feel free to pull in anything from any of them or to ignore them at will. You could even pull in stuff from the comics or other Marvel properties if the fancy takes you, though I can't guarantee I'll get all your references. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Naruto (Hatake Kakashi/Maito Gai | Might Guy) (fic):

Naruto DNW: Death of any summons animals or permanent death any of Kakashi's or Guy's teams, anything Boruto.

DNW explications:

Yes, I know where canon went wrt character death. Let's kick canon in the face or set things before that.

I have not read/seen Boruto and have no intention in doing so. No hate for it, just zero interest.

- Over The Top Marriage Proposal: I can especially see this from Guy, but I'm open to either.

- Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married

- Woke Up Married

Things I like about this ship/canon:

This is seriously one of my permanent OTPs. I love how they play off each other, the way they'll troll each other a little, but still hold genuine and abiding respect and affection for each other. I love their long history and how well they know each other. The setting itself is fun (battle wizard ninja! serious moments and silly shenanigans both!), but my greatest love is for the characters.

Other notes:

I go with the Guy writing/reading, but I don't mind anyone spelling it Gai instead. I'm not a huge fan of the end of the manga. You can feel free to ignore or include things from it at will so long as Neji doesn't die. If you just don't mention him, I will assume he is still alive and kicking around, so you don't need to directly contradict canon if you don't want to. I'm willing to do the heavy lifting in my head so long as you give me room to. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Psych (Gus/Shawn) (fic):

Psych DNWs: Permanent death of any recurring Psych named character. Contentious break-up between Shawn and Jules. (For Gus/Shawn and my infidelity DNW, I would like to point to: poly, they never got together, or amicable break-up. I would be happy with any of those. Going to also underline that first DNW here. Essentially: I love Jules, so please be kind to her character.)

Things I like about this ship/canon:

This is one of my forever OTPs. I love how much they hold genuine affection for each other, their long history, and the way they just have fun together. Shawn could go off and do a billion different weird jobs in a billion places, then come home and sign them up for a lease, and Gus was still right there with him. It's canon that at least early on, Gus claims Shawn on his taxes. I'm just. *waves hands* I wrote a promo/ship manifesto for this way back in the day, and I stand by it. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER, OKAY.

(Sorry. Even years have not dampened my feelings.)

Other notes:

I haven't seen the last season of Psych. I was a little behind and then I didn't want it to be over. I'm open to any and all spoilers. If you want to go with a canon divergent AU or pretend things you didn't like in later canon didn't happen, I am open to that, too. (I am always open to AUs, canon divergent or otherwise, except those I specifically DNWed in my general DNWs.)

Point being, a heads up that I may miss references, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't include them.

When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Rubyquest (Red/Ruby) (fic):

Rubyquest DNW: Explicit sex unless it's a human AU. (This isn't angling for a human AU so much as angling away from explicit anthropomorphic bunny/fox sex.)

Things I like about this canon:

This canon was so delightfully creepy, and the settings and goings-on at the Glen really intrigued me. Also delightfully creepy was Red himself. I really liked the way he and Ruby played off of each other. So helpful, but so ominous! The backstory reveals were chilling and fantastic.

Other notes:

I loved all the characters, so anyone you want to include, I will be all over.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Kreia/Female Jedi Exile) (fic):

Kotor DNW: Permanent Exile or Exile's companions death outside of canon events from player choices. Permanent Kreia death unless she's sticking around as a Force ghost. Genderswap.

Tags:
- Accidental/unexpected soulbond is cultural equivalent of marriage: Force married.
- Ghost Marriage: Force ghost married.
- Magic Ritual Requires Marriage: Kreia is v. pragmatic. She doesn't mind at all.
- Marriage to Satisfy Life-Debt / Life-Debt is Considered Marriage
- Marrying to spite another: Are they spiting the Council? Someone else? Each other?
- Resurrection Ritual Requires Marriage: The Exile brings Kreia back.
- Visions of Alternate Timeline Where Impossible Marriage Happens/Works Out: Sometimes the visions the Force brings are a kindness; sometimes, they're a cruelty.

Things I like about this canon: In my 2017 Yuletide letter, I wrote a lot about what I love about kotor, the Exile, and Kreia. All of it is still true. Excerpted from that, a mildly condensed version:

Let's talk about Kreia! (I am so excited to have an excuse to talk about Kreia.) I love that she is pretty much the main source of information, and it is utterly, utterly unreliable. She is shamelessly slanted in her views where she is not manipulative where is not stretching the truth into unrecognizable shapes where she is not pretty much outright lying where she is not doing all of the above. You can't trust her, but you absolutely want to, because she is so helpful, in her acerbic way! (So helpful in shaping you into something that furthers her agenda!) Even when she is being 100% utterly honest, it's in service to her goals.

My first playthrough, I was not sure if I should trust the space witch. I was like, "idk, Kreia, you seem kind of shady." Yet I still took every bit of information she gave me at face value (minus the stuff on my own conduct, because hey, I could not have known that beggar would get mugged), like a total tool. (I could not help it; her Reasons You Suck speeches gave me life.) My second playthrough, though, I was just like, "WHAT IS REAL, WHAT IS TRUTH, HELP ME, SPACE WITCH she is laughing at my pain." And pretty much every playthrough, I just was filled with fierce love, even as I remained confused on various details and not 100% convinced I had figured out all of her motives.

As for the game itself, look, I love space magic and adventures and machinations and all of those things, but I love most of all that this game is a personal journey. Maybe some people found it anticlimactic, but my favorite line was probably, "There is no great revelation, no great secret. There is only you." It's a game of choices and consequences, both personally and in the echoes of your actions. Despite it being blatantly unfinished, despite the parts that are finished still being rushed, despite (because of?) getting little in the way of real, direct answers, this is one of my favorite games of all time, and that line and everything leading up to it is why.

Other notes: Feel free to pull in stuff from the restored content mod. I love all Exiles, though I tend toward light/grey in most of my playthroughs. (And cackle terribly when I go dark side. Seriously. All Exiles.) Though canon only allows you one or the other, feel free to have the Handmaiden show up anyway.

In closing and because this bears repeating no matter the exchange:

My number one hope for my gift is that my writer has a good time with it, so let me emphasize again that I'm just happy that there will be more stuff for one of these fandoms. Whatever you end up doing, I'm hoping it's something you enjoy about the fandom and have fun making.

Have a happy Just Married! ♥
