everysecondtuesday: glasses and milk tea in the morning (Default)
[personal profile] everysecondtuesday
If you check out my last several exchange letters, you'll probably notice that I've copied a lot over, including some of the structure.

General stuff first!

I love all of the fandoms and characters I'm requesting, so if one section is longer or shorter than another, it's due to how much I had to say (I have a lot of feelings about Kreia/KoTOR II, okay)/what I had available to copy-paste, not how much I love the request. I'm pretty sure I filled in all the sections, but if I missed something, please have the mods poke me. Anyway, these are all fandoms of my heart, and I'm excited at the possibility of receiving any of them.

Also, this letter is pretty long, so again, please don't feel obligated to read it all (or at all!). If you already have an idea of what you want to do from just the AO3 requests, go for it! This is all to (I hope) make it easier on you, and I am a big believer in optional details being optional. There being fic for my fandoms will make me happy. Everything else is icing on delicious, delicious cake.

This year I'm requesting fic in six fandoms: Attack the Gas Station, Dwarf Fortress, Knights of the Old Republic II, Long Live the Queen, RED, and The Scumthorpe Files. Each fandom section will include subsections as follows: short summary/promotion and links, general fandom talk, any fandom-specific exceptions or clarifications to my likes and dnws, ships I enjoy, and four types of prompts (gen, shippy, dark, explicit). Feel free to skip straight to what you feel is most relevant. :D

Fair warning: this letter will contain spoilers, so if you have it on your "to watch/to read/to play" list and want to go into it with fresh eyes, you'll want to skip that section.

A note: I've received fic in the past for several of my requested fandoms, which I loved! I just want more. If you matched me on one of those, I am sure I will love whatever you make me, whether it's along the lines of the gifts I've already gotten or something entirely new. Also, if you are a repeat match, considering how small some of these fandoms are: ILU, I love your fic, you've got this.

For ease of stalking: tuesday on AO3, everysecondtuesday on tumblr

General Likes:

I'm happy with gen or romance. If you go the romance route, I'm good with f/f, f/m, m/m, poly, and ace.

I am always open to fic written for yuleporn (excepting TSF) and crueltide, as well as any non-traditional mediums, such as IF. If you write me something that can be tagged with any of the side challenges, go for it! With any luck, I will remember to "officially" sign up for them this year.

I like both long and short fic, so go where the story leads you!

General Likes: worldbuilding, AUs (modern, regency, historic, magic, college, cyberpunk, steampunk, canon divergence, everyone lives, end of the world, all the AUs), IN SPACE, family, found family, friendship, political machinations, intrigue, time travel, mysteries, time loops, magic, shenanigans, drunken shenanigans, prank wars, political negotiations, alliances of convenience, training, slice of life, character study, plot, porn, developing relationships/friendships, character has the chance to re-do/relive events, aliens, robots, mermaids, dragons, reincarnation, mysteries, comedy of errors, competence, communication, codas, future fic, tropes (all the tropes).

Ship Likes: arranged marriage & marriage of convenience, soul bonds & soulmates, pining, friends to lovers, first times, woke up married, wooing, extended courtships, whirlwind romance, pregnancy/adoption/kid fic, matchmaking, didn't know they're dating, tropes (all the tropes).

Crueltide Likes: ghosts/ghost stories, monsters, isolation, trapped together, aliens, robots, apocalypses and the post-apocalyptic life thereafter, murder mysteries, creeping horror, non-euclidean geometry and architecture, eldritch horrors, unethical experimentation, cannibalism (by choice or by necessity; knowing or unknowing), the undead, A.I. gone horribly wrong, A.I. gone horribly right, body horror, monkey's paws, artifacts of doom, mimics and people lures, plant monsters and killer horticulture, both everyone-lives and everyone's-fucked, gallows humor.

Yuleporn Likes: all things vanilla, tenderness, biting, edging, mating cycles/in heat, sensation play, pain play, breath play, blood play, xeno, consentacles, laughter/joking around/banter during sex, bruising, marking, scent-marking, clothing kink, rushed sex, desperation, switching, oral sex, omegaverse, aphrodysiacs, robot sex, bathing together, hurt/comfort, aftercare, oviposition, enthusiastic consent, electrostimulation, loyalty kink, first times (together or ever), for science!, hair-pulling, handcuffs, held down, use of magic, mentor/protege, multiple orgasms, overstimulation, pervertibles, sounding, voice kink, service kink, object insertion.

Feel free to go as dark or fluffy or creepy or cracked out as your heart desires. In general, I'd prefer a happy, hopeful, bittersweet, or ray of light in the distance ending, even if it's just a where there's life there's hope situation.

DNWs:

General DNWs:

Please no non-con or rape play. I'm not really into infidelity (poly or marriage only as an arrangement is fine! I just prefer everyone involved to know and be okay with what's going on), underage, or eye trauma (with an exception for non-graphic stuff referencing battle injuries for DF).

Because I listed AUs above, I feel like I should mention there are AUs I'm just not into anymore (though I have enjoyed some fic with them in the past) - slavery, serial killer, mafia, prison, and sex worker AUs.

In each fandom section (and in my sign-up), I have a list of characters I'd prefer not to die, but other than those, feel free to go wild on the character death. (Exception: Attack the Gas Station. Please don't kill any canon characters at all there.)

Yuleporn DNWs: non-con, rape play, scat, watersports, vomit, over-feeding, bestiality, humiliation, blasphemy kink.

주유소 습격 사건 | Attack the Gas Station (1999) (No Mark, Mu Dae-po, Ddan Dda-ra, Paint):

Short Summary/Promotion: Attack the Gas Station is a weird, wacky, wonderful Korean film in which a group of guys decide to rob a gas station. And then, the next night, because they are bored, they do it again--to the exact same gas station. Employees are taken hostage, delivery boys are enraged, and a gang somehow gets involved. The whole adventure culminates in a battle royale in the gas station parking lot.

Attack the Gas Station on Amazon

General Talk: This remains one of my favorite films. There's one scene I always skip (the one with the sexual harassment/strip word game), but otherwise I love all these characters and their shenanigans. They're not good people, but they're great entertainment. I love how everything escalates and all the "and it got worse" moments. I love how all the wacky hi-jinks are also interspersed with moments humanizing everyone and how they all have their own things going on. The tragic lives side by side with the absurd.

I have not seen the 2010 sequel (and did not know it existed until I started googling for the links section of this letter), so if you include stuff from it, I'd appreciate at least a brief bit in an author's note that you will be, so I can look up spoilers? Also, I found a few places you can watch AtGS online, but I have no idea how reliable they are, thus my leaving just the Amazon link.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Anything to do with the strip word game scene or anything like it. Please, let me pretend that scene does not exist. Also, please no character death. Like. Temporary character death if you're going with the time loop prompt (or something else) is fine, and nameless original mook deaths if you're writing a zombie AU, but please no permanent deaths of any of the canon characters.

Ships: I would happily read any combination of the four requested characters.

Prompts:

Something gen: What would an IN SPACE AU look like for this movie? Oh, man, or a time loop. They keep attacking the same gas station, because they keep repeating the same day, and [character] is the only one to realize it. Is canon the best outcome? Or was [character] caught by surprise that the loops stopped? If that's not your speed, what happens after the movie? Do they go on to swear off a life of crime, having realized how out of control everything spiraled? Or, bored and with nothing else to do the next week, do they go on to attack the same gas station?

Something shippy: I am drawing a blank on ship prompts here, but I would be happy to read whatever you come up with? Especially if you combine it with the something gen prompts and/or anything from my likes.

Something dark: Two words: Zombie. AU. Mu Dae-po always chooses just one zombie, and the others have to drag him away, all, "wtf, there are other zombies." The zombie outbreak happens, and they can't decide where to hole up . . . so they default to the gas station they attacked those two times. They go to attack the gas station that second time, and find that the employees are actually happy to see them, because they may be thugs intent on robbing the place, but they're still human thugs who seem like they could take the zombies that keep wandering by in a fight.

Something explicit: Again, drawing a blank. (Can you tell I wrote this letter all out of order?) See my yuleporn likes?

Dwarf Fortress (Any of Cat, Dwarf, Necromancer, Overseer):

Short summary/promotion: Dwarf Fortress is a (free!) simulation game with a steep learning curve, but a huge pay-off in highly entertaining emergent story-telling and weird dwarven decisions. This can include anything from new mothers in the military taking their babies into battle to use as shields to tantrum-throwing dwarves (upset that their babies are now full of arrows) destroying the whole fortress and killing everyone in it by hitting the lever to your "magma solves everything" doomsday device.

I'm including in the links several comics that illustrate many of the best things about DF.

Losing is fun!

General talk: I will never not love this game. When I first started playing it, it was a very different game than it is now, but it has only gotten better. I have embraced the mantra that losing is fun, discovered all the hidden fun stuff, and even managed attempts at mega projects and tried my hand at silly dwarf tricks. (Few survived the first several attempts at a magma-fall through the main dining room, but those few left were delighted at how neat it looked! . . . For however long they lived after the ensuing grief stricken tantrum spiral. Apparently a magma fountain can only do so much.)

Whether you want to write about one of the races and their civilizations, a fortress, a lone adventurer, what a Forgotten Beast does when not ravaging fortresses, a necromancer's attempts at self-publishing, an anthropomorphic representation of an evil biome . . . whatever I nominated (or even something else entirely!), I am excited for fic in this fandom.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Cat death by direct dwarf action. (Explification in cat prompt section.)

Exceptions to my Likes/DNWs: Death, death and despair! Feel free to kill any and everything (or re-kill, in the case of any undead you wish to include) by any means. I still have an exception to this exception, that being cats, as I'd prefer dwarves not to be the direct cause of cat death. (Indirect, okay, because KITTEN MINES.)

Prompts (by character, then category):

Dwarf (Dwarf Fortress): Tell me about a fortress! Is it well-run, with plenty of booze and food, peaceful surroundings, and a highly competent military to take care of any problems? Is it located in a hellscape (perhaps even literally if they colonized hell), with no beds, saltwater, and rampaging undead elephant skeletons clambering at the gates?

Or for a single dwarf, maybe something with the last dwarf of the fortress, walled in without escape? Or for another single dwarf prompt, tell me about a dwarf crafting their masterpiece, whether they're finally delighted to make that metallic cheese figurine that came to them in a dream, or have been struck by a fell mood, and they know just the perfect dwarf for that femur throne that haunts their darkest nightmares.

Overseer (Dwarf Fortress): Tell me about a good, bad, or incompetent overseer! Why have they made the decisions they have? What decisions have they made? Do they grow frustrated with their population and the creative interpretation of orders, or do the various and unexpected consequences amuse them? What mega-project are they determined to create, and why?

Necromancer (Dwarf Fortress): Tell me about a necromancer and their books and tower! Do they keep all those undead around to protect their libraries? Maybe that invasion of undead is simply because they're unhappy with their new dwarven neighbors and they're just trying to protect their peace, quiet, and property values. Feel free to go as creepy or cracky as you like. Necromancers.

Cat (Dwarf Fortress): Two cat. Two cat. Um.

I would like to note that while I recognize solving the two cat problem by means of meat, leather, and soap industry is definitely a thing, I could never do that. Usually, the only way a cat would die would be by brave military action (their hatred of goblins was legendary), including the occasional kitten landmine - in which all of the extra kittens were loaded into one cage that had been constructed in a building destroyer's path, and when it inevitably destroyed that, dozens of kittens with tiny bodies and small hit boxes would strike at once, leading to high casualties, but also adorable, fuzzy victory - or by old age. As female cats in cages can't breed, I usually put all but the breeding female(s) in a cat zoo, where my dwarves would throw parties and delight in all the fuzzy kitties. What I am saying is - if you want to include cat death, please don't let dwarves murdering them be the cause.

Anyway, tell me about cat adventures! Maybe a cat adopts a dwarf? Maybe a cat recognizes that none of these dwarves are worthy and simply wanders the map, murdering every fluffy wambler unfortunate enough to cross its path. Maybe a cat adopts a necromancer dwarf, who keeps it alive - or "alive" - through darkest magic and the deep desire to never let Sir Fluffington go. Maybe something about a squad of cats and their determination to take down bigger game, like that goblin that blundered through the traps and is making their bleeding way directly into the cats' path.

Something gen: Someone (the overseer, the dwarves, a necromancer, a particularly eccentric cat) is determined that no longer will unicorns be limited to the steed of elves. Whether they have to buy it, catch it, breed it, or just jump on top of it (or order others to do so for them), they will ride a unicorn, and it will be glorious. Whether this ends in actual glory or just gory death is entirely up to you.

Something shippy: The necromancer grows lonely in her tower, but fortunately, just the next tower over is another necromancer. They can share books and tips for raising the undead and razing fortresses! The overseer has assigned a mega-project to build a glass tower, but only they know that it's because their crush mentioned she dreamed about sleeping among the stars. When it's done, they'll confess their love by giving said crush the whole top floor as her bedroom. Two dwarves find love on the battlefield, bonding over the severed arm of that bronze colossus they just took down. . . . I've got nothing for cats, sorry.

Something dark: Experiments in necromancy! Evil biomes! Tantrum spirals! Traps and invasions! Mining and mega-projects gone wrong! Kitten mines! There's no food, so they're forced to eat vermin! Worse, they're out of booze!

Something explicit: How does sex work in a world where everything apparently reproduces by means of spores? What is dwarven (or whatever race you wish to go with if you're writing a necromancer) anatomy even like? These are questions that haunt me. Maybe you can answer them.

Knights of the Old Republic II (Kreia, Meetra Surik):

Short Summary/Promotion: Steam summary: "Five years after the events from the award winning Star Wars® Knights of the Old Republic™, the Sith Lords have hunted the Jedi to the edge of extinction and are on the verge of crushing the Old Republic. With the Jedi Order in ruin, the Republic’s only hope is a lone Jedi struggling to reconnect with the Force. As this Jedi, you will be faced with the galaxy’s most dire decision: Follow the light side or succumb to the dark…" This and KoTOR are fantastic and fun, and though the graphics may be horribly outdated now (and second game suffers from rushed development), both are absolute must-plays if you have any interest in Star Wars, sci-fi, or RPGs.

General Talk: I'd prefer a female Exile and tend to prefer (if mentioned) a female Revan. If you're going with the canon ending, then I'd prefer something set before said ending. If you're going with something post-canon, then I'd prefer a canon-divergent AU in which Kreia lives. Basically: Don't make me read about my favorite space witch's death, please!

I tend to prefer going with a LS-type ending, with a LS/grey-ish Exile, though a DS Exile is also lots of fun, and I'd be up for that, too. I haven't played the restored content mod, but I've read a bit about it (including a LP), and I keep meaning to. Maybe I will finally manage that this year? Anyway, feel free to include or ignore the restored content as pleases you. I'm not really familiar with any of the tie-in stuff, though I'm fine if you want to include things with it. I've played both DS and LS endings and recruited every companion over various playthroughs. If you want to include unrequested characters, I'm okay with ignoring game canon and having mutually exclusive characters (due to gender or alignment) being recruited.

The first time I played KoTOR II, I did not actually realize that you could train your companions in the Force? Somehow I missed every single trigger for it. I missed speaking with the Twi'leks on Nar Shaddaa with Atton. I never brought Mira back there. I failed to gain enough influence with Bao Dur (or maybe just didn't choose the right dialogue options). Etc., etc. This is to say: while I love the ending where you train up all your Force-sensitive companions and they go on to re-establish the Jedi Order, I also honestly wouldn't mind if you pick and choose who is and isn't trained instead. (And this is, of course, assuming you'd even include them, which I am not expecting.)

Now, let's talk about Kreia! (I am so excited to have an excuse to talk about Kreia.) I love that she is pretty much the main source of information, and it is utterly, utterly unreliable. She is shamelessly slanted in her views where she is not manipulative where is not stretching the truth into unrecognizable shapes where she is not pretty much outright lying where she is not doing all of the above. You can't trust her, but you absolutely want to, because she is so helpful, in her acerbic way! (So helpful in shaping you into something that furthers her agenda!) Even when she is being 100% utterly honest, it's in service to her goals.

My first playthrough, I was not sure if I should trust the space witch. I was like, "idk, Kreia, you seem kind of shady." Yet I still took every bit of information she gave me at face value (minus the stuff on my own conduct, because hey, I could not have known that beggar would get mugged), like a total tool. (I could not help it; her Reasons You Suck speeches gave me life.) My second playthrough, though, I was just like, "WHAT IS REAL, WHAT IS TRUTH, HELP ME, SPACE WITCH she is laughing at my pain." And pretty much every playthrough, I just was filled with fierce love, even as I remained confused on various details and not 100% convinced I had figured out all of her motives. (Side note: she would have been so proud of Obi-Wan Kenobi and his, "Vader killed your father," truth-from-a-certain-point-of-view. Maybe not the rest of it, but he was absolutely channeling her in that moment.)

At this point, I think she was telling the truth about wanting to tear down and rebuild the Jedi Order into something less offensive to her sensibilities and philosphy, but there is no way to be sure, short of the writers outright stating it. (And even then, part of me would go, "That's just what they want me to think. >:|") Maybe this is why she thinks there should always be a Darth Traya! Who watches the watchmen? The Sith of Betrayal. That, or she thinks everyone is far too gullible and needs to be kept on their toes. Or both? It can be both.

I really love the various Kreia theories out there and would be interested in any of them (or your own!). Like. The one about maybe she is the Handmaiden's mother, Arren Kae? That would also mean that Kreia was one of the people under the Exile's command at Malachor V. I don't know if I have any I'm particularly attached to, but I find them all really interesting!

As for the game itself, look, I love space magic and adventures and machinations and all of those things, but I love most of all that this game is a personal journey. Maybe some people found it anticlimactic, but my favorite line was probably, "There is no great revelation, no great secret. There is only you." It's a game of choices and consequences, both personally and in the echoes of your actions. Despite it being blatantly unfinished, despite the parts that are finished still being rushed, despite (because of?) getting little in the way of real, direct answers, this is one of my favorite games of all time, and that line and everything leading up to it is why. Thanks for the chance to babble about all of this, and I understand completely if this all goes unread. ♥

General talk tl;dr: I'd prefer female Exile, but otherwise I'm good with all play choices and spoilers and interested in all Kreia theories and motives. Just please don't kill my favorite space witch.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Character death of Kreia, the Exile/Meetra Surik, or Atton Rand. Kreia using her mind powers to mess with the Exile. Any explication of/focus on, "I suffered indignities."

Exceptions to my Likes/DNWs: Kreia is free to use her mind powers on the Exile's companions. Just like canon. The only acceptable way to make me read a story with my favorite space witch dead is if she immediately goes on to be a space ghost haunting the Exile and the two live happily ever after (or, y'know, as close as one can get in a Star Wars 'verse).

Ships: Exile/Kreia is my very favorite, though I also enjoy Atton/Exile and Bao-Dur/Exile.

Prompts:

Something gen: Supposedly, the original plan for the game was to have the possibility of Kreia resuming the position of Darth Traya (or, alternately, for Atris to take up that mantle, though I am not really interested in that). In the LS ending of the cut content, your trained Force sensitive companions go on to rebuild the Jedi Order (though I do not remember how this squares with Atton following the Exile when they leave). I would love to see anything about a Kreia who somehow lives through the end-game and combines these two things, especially if you go with a "Who watches the watchmen?" interpretation of Darth Traya, though I'd also be happy with any sort of Traya trolling any new baby Jedi for their own good. Does the Exile come back to this all "????" Does the Exile approve? Does the Exile thank her space witch wife for watching over her own apprentice's fledglings, even if not in the same way the Exile would have done?

Something shippy: I feel like Force bonds have a great deal of shipping potential. Also, uh, feel free to ignore this, but SOULMATE AU.

Something dark: Dark Side Exile? (Preferably one who is not Stupid Evil?) Anything to do with how she is a black hole of "omnomnom your life force and the Force itself are both delicious"? If gen, anything to do with Kreia and how she is like, "lol, no, you will do my bidding and work for the Exile *mind wipe*"

Something explicit: I am running out of prompts. I still have so many blank spaces to fill. This letter is killing me. Force bonds also have smut potential! Hm, or maybe something involving the application of Force powers for baser means? Could Force lightning be dialed down and perverted into electrostimulation? Kreia could manipulate three lightsabers at once with bullshit space powers--how would this translate into the bedroom?

Long Live the Queen (Elodie):

Short Summary/Promotion: You play (and plot the development of) Elodie, Nova's princess and soon-to-be queen, recalled from boarding school with the death of her mother. Elodie has one year of tutors before she's crowned and takes on full-time duties, but she's still expected to make major decisions that will determine the shape of Nova's future (and her own). This game is a delightful mix of cracky and serious, with political intrigue galore. It's entirely too easy for Elodie to go on to her grave instead of to rule, but there are any number of vastly different play styles that can see her through, and the game lets you know what skill checks it makes, so you'll have an idea of what you might want to work on in future playthroughs. It's a quick game if you're concerned just with beating it, but if you're curious about the world and the possibilities, it can eat up a lot of time, as there are a ton of options for both how to win and how Nova (and Elodie) turns out.

Links:
LLtQ Dev site
LLtq on Steam
LLtQ Wiki

General Talk: Elodie has my love in all her incarnations. My favorite playthroughs involve her being a lumen, but wow was it satisfying to go all "softer" options and still win the day through the power of singing and words. Whether you write Elodie kind or cruel, intensely militaristic or into intrigue, a lumen or looking to win the day without magic, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Canon Elodie/Alice or any sort of high-cruelty Elodie/Alice. Elodie forced into a marriage/relationship.

Exceptions to my Likes/DNWs: Kill everyone! Okay, no, wait, that came out wrong. What I'm saying here, though, is that this is a game where no one is safe, and I am cool with that. Want to write "Five (More) Ways Elodie Died"? Go for it! Interested in an "Elodie the bloodthirsty tyrant" story that explores how the other characters deal with that? So am I!

Ships: Elodie/Brin, Elodie/Briony, Elodie/Gwenelle, Elodie/Alice (if low/no cruelty Elodie), Elodie/Arisse, Elodie/Kevan (if good ending), Elodie/Banion (if good ending), Brin/Elodie/Banion (preferably as a v, with Elodie the common point), Elodie/Evrard, Elodie/Ignatius, Elodie/Earl of Pastry, Elodie/Adair, Julianna/Selene, Junko/Togami

Prompts:

Something gen: If you don't mind something similar to what I've already written, I would love to see another take on Elodie as a Peggy Sue or even stuck in a time loop. Anything with court machinations, political intrigue, or Elodie being a bit of policy wonk in an exploration of Elodie's day to day life ruling the country would also be great. I'd also love to see Elodie trying to figure out what exactly happened with the last capital and spearheading an expedition into the forest to find out. She (and Briony, maybe?) could face the forest again, better prepared and with back-up. This could go in a more crueltide-y direction, too!

Something shippy: How do [f/f ship of your choice] deal with the practicalities of line of succession/the need for an heir? The Elodie end option of openly taking a companion? The Elodie end option of arranging marriages in name and for progeny, but done in such a way as to more easily facilitate their preferred relationship? Naming a relative as successor and ignoring marriage entirely? Something else altogether? Or for any ship, tell me about their courtship, canon or otherwise!

Something dark: Lumen powers gone wrong! Assassins and intrigue! A monarch with a taste for blood! Roaming monsters and horrors in the deeps! I feel like there's a lot both in the setting and with the characters that can be made (or already is) as creepy or horrifying as anyone could ask for. Are there other lurking horrors like the kraken, sleeping deep beneath and all too easy to wake? (Are there people who want to wake them?) Elodie v. Lovecraftian horror cults is something I'd love to read.

Something explicit: Lumen powers used for pleasure, stolen moments at a royal ball or in tents on the march, throne sex - whatever strikes your fancy.

RED (Han Cho Bai, Victoria Winslow):

Short Summary/Promotion: RED (Retired: Extremely Dangerous) and its sequel are both great popcorn action movies. They're silly romps with explosions and car chases, but also the occasional unexpected Feelings. If you like Bruce Willis or Helen Mirren, do yourself a favor and watch these films.

Links:
RED imdb
RED 2 imdb

General Talk: Victoria is my favorite. And then RED 2 came out, and Han Cho Bai became my favorite, too. I would watch a hundred more movies of just them interacting.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Character death of Han cho Bai or Victoria Winslow (unless you have one of them come back as a ghost or something).

Exceptions to my Likes/DNWs: Character death is permissible in the case of happy ghost love stories.

Ships: Han Cho Bai/Victoria Winslow. I'm also good with all canon ships and Han/OC.

Prompts:

Something gen: I'd love to see Han and Victoria (feel free to include other characters from the rest of the gang, if you'd like?) going on adventures, getting together to save the world, or even just attending some sort of RED reunion (which Han crashes for Reasons). Any sort of spy equivalent to case fic would make me clap my hands with glee.

Something shippy: The above, plus Han/Victoria. They have to go undercover as a couple for plot reasons! (Han surprises himself with how much he enjoys playing boy-toy to Victoria's rich older lady. Victoria, meanwhile, is not surprised at all by how much she enjoys it all.) Han does not so much crash the reunion as show up as Victoria's plus one. They save the world and then they kiss.

Something dark: GHOST LOVE STORY. The only acceptable way to kill these characters: Victoria dies and haunts Han, giving him advice, even when he doesn't want it, critiquing his form and methods, drinking scotch and laughing at his few mishaps. And then they kiss.

Something explicit: Victoria helps Han break in his new plane. Alternately: car sex.

The Scumthorpe Files (Nathan Bajek, Nikki Danton, Carrie Scumthorpe, Lolita Scumthorpe):

Short Summary/Promotion: Its TV Tropes page describes it best: "Having begun as a collection of comedic short stories posted on the Mod The Sims forums by a user named MinghamSmith in 2012, the series has since evolved into a much more complex narrative centred around the lives of Lester, Carrie and Lolita Scumthorpe- a long-suffering set of triplets trying to grow up vaguely sane in a bizarre, twisted version of SimNation where Finagle's Law reigns supreme."

Links:
TV Tropes Page
TV Tropes Character Page
The Scumthorpe Files (I would suggest making liberal use of ctrl f for MinghamSmith after the first couple pages. Someday I will complete my project compiling a list of links to easily skip the fan reactions and discussion, but that day is not today.)

General Talk: If you want to bring in additional characters from those I nominated/requested, I really love the Scrap Row boys and Class 6F (. . . except Billy, but if you're writing a scene set during school/on a class trip, it would make sense to include him). I'm not really into most of the rest of the extended Scumthorpe family, though some of them make great foils. While I'll mention unrequested characters in my prompts, I am truly not expecting anyone but the characters I requested.

Also, this is your official permission to not include all of the characters I've requested. If you'd rather focus on the Scumthorpe sisters, write a date between Nikki and Carrie, or tell me about an adventure Nathan Bajek goes on with the other Scrap Row boys, I will be happy so long as at least one of the four is the focus. . . . Why yes, I did consider requesting Any until I realized I did not want to write out four character-specific sections. But seriously, feel free to treat this like I requested Any!

Fandom-specific DNWs: Please no adult Sprog. Specific to Nathan Bajek, this may be a weird request, but please don't have a focus on the dog attack. For personal reasons, a fic centered on that would be . . . not ideal. Acknowledgment of his disability and the cause is fine. A focus on the consequences is, um, dicier? Like. A fic in which Nathan gets covered in puppies who just want to lick his face as part of immersion therapy? Totally okay! A fic about the attack/having to cope with seeing that dog/dogs owned by that person? Nope nope nope, I will have to nope right out.

Exceptions to my Likes/DNWs: For this fandom, I don't have a "Something explicit" prompt section and am opting out of yuleporn. Dates and ship fic? Sure! Explicit fic? Thank you, but no. Wrt character death, I am okay with secondary character death, just please not anyone of Class 6F or their contemporaries/generation.

Ships: Nikki/Rhett, Nikki/Davina, Nikki/Carrie, Nikki/Abigail, Nikki/Tara, Nathan/Trent, Nathan/Carrie, Nathan/Carrot, Lily/Lester

Prompts:

Something gen: Class 6F's class camping trip was amazing, and I would happily read all the fic about future class trips, be it to a museum, a state park, a laboratory, or someplace else entirely. Or maybe another Scrap Row boys adventure a la The Hardy Boys meets Cthulhu. Or Scumthorpe triplet sibling bonding. Or Nikki solving mysteries. I especially love the strange lore of the Scumthorpe Files, so anything you would like to add to or explicate from it, creepy or not, I would be all over that.

Something shippy: I listed my favorite ships above in no particular order, so slash, femslash, het, dates with a psychic alien horror--I am excited for any and all of the possibilities. I don't have any preferences wrt Lolita, though Carrie and Lester, protective siblings extraordinaire, is something I would love to see in reaction to Lolita dating, whether it's just for fun, practice dating, or she finally finds someone she's serious about. Tell me about a sweet first date, or a date gone horribly wrong (these teens just wanted somewhere to make out, but the Playground Lurker snacking on that toddler is seriously cramping their style), or falling in love with someone they never expected to. Maybe future fic in which they all meet up for their ten year reunion, and they discover oh, hey, [other person] is seriously attractive, how did I forget/never realize this?

Something dark: Omgggg, any new or old lore. Give me Lovecraftian horrors! Creepy aliens! Ghosts and monsters! Urban legends that are unfortunately true! References to kid!Sprog are totally fine here, because man, even in a world of monsters, the biggest danger was a childhood serial killer.

If you've made it this far, I'd like to thank you for participating in Yuletide. This is my favorite yearly challenge, and I am ridiculously excited for and about it.

My number one hope for my gift fic is that my writer has a good time with it, so let me emphasize again that I'm just happy that there will be more fic for one of these fandoms. This monster of a letter was mostly an excuse to enthuse about small fandoms, and I truly hope it doesn't put you off or make you worry about whether you can make any of the prompts work. Whatever you end up writing, I'm hoping it's something you enjoy about the fandom and have fun writing.

Have a happy Yuletide! ♥

I've been browsing through the Yuletide letters and I just want to say after reading your KOTOR II requests: OMG, ARE WE FANDOM SOULMATES. Everything in that prompt list is so good and if your writer doesn't write a Kreia/Exile smutty soulmate au, I think I might have to...

I only use this journal for RP, but if you ever want to scream about Exile/Kreia, um, I'm on tumblr at gemofsphene and scream about it frequently. Uh, sorry if this is coming on too strong, I'm just * hands flailing * omg omg omg
