I think you're almost certainly right about it being the dragon's blood, as it really does smell more like a sweet, deep red to me. It's a lovely scent, and I'm looking forward to trying the others in that series that I already have or which will eventually arrive.
Wrt the orris, I know I've had plenty of problems with many of the more floral perfumes over the years, so that makes sense! In addition to just the joy of trying different things, I'm hoping this experiment will help me pin down problem ingredients. I hadn't considered writing customer service, but that's an excellent idea for future use. ♥
