Dear Yuletide Writer

everysecondtuesdayHello, and thank you for writing for one of these fandoms! I'm tuesday on AO3.
If you have signed up to write any of these in the past and checked out all the letters, I may look familiar. I tend to request many of the same things over and over again, and for that very reason, my letter is usually a long, lumbering copy-paste monster of a thing. This year, I'm trying something a little different and not really including prompts, but feel free to check out my past enthused ramblings about each of my requested fandoms and characters, including four genres of prompts (gen, horror, shippy, explicit) and promos for each fandom if you want to try something completely new. I've updated my likes a little bit, and each fandom section is a bit to much shorter than years previous.

I'm happy with gen or romance. If you go the romance route, I'm good with f/f, f/m, m/m, poly, and ace.
I am always open to fic written for both yuleporn and crueltide, as well as any non-traditional mediums, such as IF. If you write me something that can be tagged with any of the side challenges, go for it! With any luck, I will remember to "officially" sign up for them this year.

Crueltide Likes: ghosts and ghost stories, monsters, isolation, trapped together, apocalypses and the post-apocalyptic life thereafter, murder mysteries, creeping horror, non-euclidean geometry and architecture, eldritch horrors, unethical experimentation, cannibalism (by choice or by necessity; knowing or unknowing), the undead, A.I. gone horribly wrong, A.I. gone horribly right, body horror, monkey's paws, artifacts of doom, mimics and people lures, plant monsters and killer horticulture, gallows humor.
Yuleporn Likes: all things vanilla, tenderness, biting, edging, mating cycles/in heat, sensation play, pain play, breath play, blood play, xeno, consentacles, laughter/joking around/banter during sex, bruising, marking, scent-marking, clothing kink, rushed sex, desperation, switching, oral sex, omega-verse, aphrodysiacs, robot sex, bathing together, hurt/comfort, aftercare, oviposition, enthusiastic consent, electrostimulation, loyalty kink, first times (together or ever), for science!, hair-pulling, handcuffs and bondage, held down, "inappropriate" use of magic/the Force, mentor/protege, multiple orgasms, overstimulation, pervertibles, sounding, voice kink, service kink, object insertion.
Feel free to go as dark or fluffy or creepy or cracked out as your heart desires. In general, I'd prefer a happy, hopeful, bittersweet, or ray of light in the distance ending, even if it's just a where there's life there's hope situation.
Dwarf Fortress:
I nominate and request DF every Yuletide and will continue to do so until the day I die, it's ineligible, or Yuletide is no longer a thing. I've received fic for this in Yuletides past and I cherish every single one of them. Whether you write me something similar to those (or even something I've written) or go for something new and different, I promise you, I will love it.
This is (I think) the first year I've nominated it without characters, and there's a reason for that: if there's something you've always wanted an excuse to write, whether it's worldbuilding, a story of your favorite fortress or adventurer, the backstory you wrote in your head for a Forgotten Beast, or something else entirely, I want you to write it so I can read it. Past letters have lots of prompts, if you're feeling a little lost, but this year I want to give you as much freedom as possible, barring my DNWs.

Rubyquest (Red, Ruby):
My 2015 Yuletide letter, which has prompts and a little general Rubyquest talk.
If you want to write ship fic for this fandom, I would love Red/Ruby. I love Tom, but canon gave me everything I wanted there, so if you don't ship Red/Ruby, I would also be very happy with Red&Ruby gen.
If you want to bring in other characters, I love everyone in this cast, so go for it! I love AUs, but I would prefer for this fandom for you to keep it to canon-divergent or with some of the basics of the setting and plot (e.g. canon divergent in which Red doesn't die; IN SPACE, in which the Metal Glen is actually a space station, but all the delightful horrors of the situation stay the same).

Because this year I'm differing a bit from years past, I'm going to state this part again: I don't want permanent character death of either of my requested characters. It may be canon for Red, but I'd prefer any fic either be AU in this one way, be set before Red's death, or have Red re-grow from his severed hand. Next year I may be up for permanent deaths of my faves in gift fic again, but not this year. If you want to include non-permanent character death, however, feel free! There's even a handy mechanic already in place.
Quoting from previous letters: If you want to write me Red/Ruby porn, I'd prefer it to be a human AU. Of course, feel free to keep the third eye/pointy smile that never ends/assorted body horror stuff . . . unless you don't want to, in which case, yes, sure, humans without horrifying extras.
Knights of the Old Republic 2 (Female Jedi Exile, Kreia):
My 2017 letter, which includes a ridiculously long section on Kreia and this game, plus prompts.
If you want to write ship fic, I am all about Exile/Kreia. If you don't (or don't ship it), I'm also good with gen. I love all the companions, so if there's someone else you want to include, I'm sure I would be happy to have them.
I'm good with all play choices and spoilers and interested in all Kreia theories and motives. I haven't read the books, but I'm okay with both book canon name or just "Exile" or what-have-you. I'm somewhat familiar with the restored content mod (at least, I have read a Let's Play of it), but it's been a while and I haven't played it myself, so feel free to include or ignore stuff at will.

To explicate, because I forgot to update my sign-up: by use of mind powers, I mean things like Kreia's canonical ability to make characters forget or use of force persuasion or suchlike, not things like telepathic conversation and the way that Force bonds have a bit of bleed-over effect and suchlike.
In closing and because this bears repeating no matter the year or the changes to my letter:
My number one hope for my gift fic is that my writer has a good time with it, so let me emphasize again that I'm just happy that there will be more fic for one of these fandoms. Whatever you end up doing, I'm hoping it's something you enjoy about the fandom and have fun writing.
