everysecondtuesdayI'm pretty sure whoever was assigned me has already posted, but in case anyone is wondering (for treats or otherwise), yes, I've seen Endgame. Heads up that this post is going to contain spoilers for anyone who has not. I'm going to try to address a number of things a potential creator might have questions about.
Also, I have finally seen both Ant-Man movies when I was watching almost all of the MCU pre-Endgame, so that part of the letter is now out of date. I'm still good with as much or as little being included from other parts of the franchise as you'd like. (For the record: I loved them.)
My feelings on Endgame are really complicated, so I'm not going to go into a movie review or anything, just talk a little about how I'd prefer some things handled or how I felt about certain things if you'd like to address them. I'd also like to preface this by emphasizing that I'm not trying to add new DNWs way after the fact or box anyone in on anything, and that so long as you follow my DNWs in my AO3 Optional Details, I'm sure you will be making something I'll like.
So first thing's first, Tony's death: I'm sticking with my original DNW of permanent requested character death.
What that leaves: pre-canon, AUs, canon divergence, time travel that works differently than canon (or time travel that's with the stone/a spell a la Doctor Strange), resurrection, anything else I'm not thinking of that leaves Tony alive at the end of the story. I'm okay with you including this canon event so long as it's not permanent.
Natasha's death: I think at the time she died, she was important to Tony, and I hated that the film didn't give as much of a lead-up/send-off/memorial for her, but if you really want to include it, I'm okay with that. I'd prefer Natasha alive in my dream fic, but as far I'm concerned, you're not going to trip a DNW by leaving this canon event in place for this particular exchange. If you wanted to have Clint win that fight for sacrifice instead, I'd also be fine with that.
Morgan Stark: If you've checked out my other exchange letters/sign-ups, you may have seen where in F5k I DNWed Pepper and Tony having kids together. For h/c exchange, so long as you're faithful to my DNWs of poly, acrimonious break-up between Pepper and Tony, and having Pepper die, I don't mind if you include Morgan. I thought she was adorable and Tony as a dad killed me in the best way. While I'm not all in on fic with her, I don't mind if you include her.
Time travel: I don't mind if you change how time travel works from canon. I'd love any alternate timeline shenanigans that play with how it does work in canon, too, though. If you want to write Peter/alternate timeline Tony, I'd absolutely be here for it. I'd just ask that you don't let any Tonys be permanently dead.
The increased age gap: I am still here for it, even with the extra five years. Still sticking with my DNW of "underage romantic or sexual relationships" and wanting 18+ for anything acted upon, but I absolutely do not mind the extra five years or getting something in which Peter is like, "How did Mr. Stark get even hotter???"
