Hi! I love all of the fandoms and characters I'm requesting, so if something is longer or shorter than its counterparts, it's due to how much I had to say, not how much I love the request.

If you've written or drawn for me before, my likes and DNWs have changed a bit, so please make sure you're looking at the right letter or are looking at the AO3 requests.

As ever and always, I would like to emphasize, please don't feel obligated to read this letter in its entirety (or at all!). If you already have an idea of what you want to do from just the AO3 requests, go for it! This is all to (I hope) make it easier on you, and I am a big believer in optional details being optional. There being works for my faves will make me happy. Everything else is icing on delicious, delicious cake.

If I flub the letter writing and editing process and mention something in my letter that is not on AO3 and in my sign-ups or if I phrase something poorly, I'd also like to emphasize that that's on me and you're free to pretend you didn't see it (or to ask the mods if you're still concerned). My DNWs are all listed under DNWs in my optional details on AO3. If it's something not listed under DNWs, then that's a preference, but I'm still going to read/look at and comment on your work and (if history is anything to judge) be really happy with it.

On past gifts

I've received works in the past for several of my requested fandoms, which I loved! I just want more. If you matched me on it, I am sure I will love whatever you make me, whether it's along the lines of the gifts I've already received or something entirely new.

On other gifts

I am always open to treats and late gifts, though please check my more recent DNWs. If you want to treat with mediums I haven't requested, I'm open to that for visual mediums, games, vids, and text.

Recursive works

Recursive works are fanworks based on fanworks (remixes, sequels, illustration of fic, etc.). If you'd like to create a recursive work, I'm open to it for past gifts where you have permission (blanket or otherwise) and my own works. I'm also open to it for other works I know and love, but you may want to check through the mod to be sure I remember it even if it's something I've commented on in the past.

Format Likes

I like all ratings for works, from General Audiences to Explicit. For fic, I'm open to any length, from drabbles and drabble series to just over the min to sprawling epics. I like both traditional fic and non-traditional and experimental formats, including interactive fiction, CYOA, epistolary, and multimedia. I prefer past or present tense. I generally prefer third person (especially consistent third person limited where POV shift only happens in scene breaks or doesn't happen at all) or a match to canon (which in some cases is going to be first or second) or a match to the standards of the form (e.g. first person for epistolary, letters, and journals; second person for CYOA and IF). (I'm open to everything! These are just preferences.)

Art Likes

I like rough sketches and clean line art both, bright and dark colors to set mood, comics, scenery, single and group character poses, the cute and the creepy. All stages, all skill levels, all types, I always like seeing what someone else comes up with. Go as E- or G-rated as you'd like. I especially like character expressions and things that set mood (color, body language, composition, etc). I also like details in clothing, jewelry, and hairstyles and hair ribbons and fancy hair pieces where appropriate (e.g. fancy weddings including fancy clothes). I'm including some pose ideas if you want to include more than the prompted one or to treat some of the fic prompts, but please don't feel like you need to include any of them.

For shipping purposes, some non-explicit poses I especially like for ships are characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), and pressing their foreheads together.

For explicit poses, feel free to take anything from my smut likes, but for something visual, I especially like bruises and marks, face touching, and hair-petting or pulling.

Vid Likes

I love all vids! I am good with any level of shippiness.

While I'm listing songs with some of these vid requests, they are very optional suggestions, and I'm not expecting more than the minimum. If you also like the song, but want to snip out 30 seconds of it to use, I am very down for that.

My preferences for favorites in vids tend toward not including audio clips from the source or added text, but I've loved a lot of things that do that and enjoyed in general a number of others, too, so that's not a no on those things, just a "if you're really trying hard to tailor, this is about the only pattern I could discern from what I've loved best in the past and even it's not any sort of hard line or actual dislike." I like character studies and shippiness and action and vid AUs and thoughtful explorations of themes and those crack vids that take a funny audio source and smash it up with another canon and pretty much every sort of vid I can think of. I have not met a type of vid I did not like.

Besides my DNWs, for music, I am very easily led into loving a song by it accompanying a vid I like, but some music types I particularly enjoy include pop (modern and anything back to the 60s), dance music, trance, techno, rock, alternative, hip hop, folk, indie, orchestral, and metal along the lines of Savatage or Nightwish (more symphonic than thrash). I'm okay with music in any language or without vocals. If there's a particular artist or song you love, I am ready to be sold on it if I'm not there already. Also, it doesn't have to include music! As I said, I am all for those little thirty second crack vids that take audio from something else (or for a more serious take on that, too).

General Fic/Art DNWs:

Dubcon, noncon (including rape by fraud), rapeplay, characters thinking sex they engaged in might have been rape, or anything implying any of this. Sexual harassment or menacing.
Memory issues related to sex. (Memory issues not related to sex are fine.)
Sex with someone drugged to the point of unconsciousness even if it's planned and consensual. (For somno, sex with someone who is a deep sleeper and previously consented is fine, as is someone who keeps going when that was agreed to, but not using drugs to ensure unconsciousness. That's a very narrow range, which is why while I'm okay with receiving consensual somno, I'm not actually requesting the tag.)

DNW Clarifications and Explications:

Dubcon, noncon, rapeplay, characters thinking sex they engaged in might have been rape, or anything implying any of this. Sexual harassment or menacing.: In the past, I've been fine with (and liked) a lot of dubcon, but I currently don't want any. In the case of any tags that could be taken in a dub- or noncon direction, I want the clearly consensual version only.

Hopelessly unhappy endings: For the fandoms where I have this DNW, I'd prefer a happy ending, the sense that there's a roadmap to get there eventually, or something bittersweet over something that's an unequivocal bad end for my requested characters.

Permanent noncanonical character death of canon characters: For the fandoms where I have this DNW, impermanent character death is fine and baked into a few of my likes and canons. Killing villains who died in different ways is fine. Killing OCs is fine. Keeping canon the same is fine. If you diverge from canon or make AUs, please do not permanently kill non-villain canon characters in new ways.

Comas and unrequested real life serious illness: Weird confined to canon stuff like Without a Cure, qi deviations, or chakra exhaustion are fine. Cancer is not. For The Untamed, referencing Wei Wuxian's canon three days unconscious after the battle at Nightless City is fine, as is any canon case of induced unconsciousness.

Graphic, descriptive eye trauma: Non-descriptive references are fine.

Infidelity etc.: Poly is fine. I don't want anyone confused on the fact that it is poly, not cheating. If you don't mention current canon partners, I will happily assume it's a canon divergent AU and they're single.

In general, my major concern is to avoid a) definitely cheating in any direction, b) something in which one part of the ship thinks the other part is in a closed relationship and that's what the main ship is engaging in, c) something in which one half of a closed relationship believes the other is cheating on them and we the audience are likely to also think that's what's going on and which comprises a major, ongoing part of the work as opposed to something brief and mistaken.

If a character is alive and the other character knows they're alive and they're in a committed monogamous relationship, even if everyone else thinks they're dead or the situation looks dire, I'd prefer not to get a work where the character moves on during that time; break-ups afterward due to changing circumstances and being a different person now are fine.

Focus on unrequested ships: For the fandoms where I have this DNW, other relationships can be present or referenced, whether canonical or not, but I'd prefer not to have them as a focus.

Focus on unrequited love: For the fandoms where I have this DNW, for pining, characters can think it is unrequited, but I would like them to be wrong.

Romantic or sexual relationships between adults and minors or references to this. Adults being explicitly sexually attracted to people who are currently underage. Explicit underage sex: Aging up so everyone is over 18 is fine. Relationships between two people roughly the same age is fine, like a 17 and 19 year old. Minors having unrequited crushes on adults is fine. References to teenagers being sexually active in teenager-typical ways is fine, but I'd rather not get explicit sex scenes. For scenarios in which two adults knew each other when one was a minor, I'd prefer not to have direct references to the possibility that anything could've happened then, even if it's to emphasize that the younger adult is an adult now.

Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master": Mentioning this because I have a lot of BDSM-related or adjacent likes. It wouldn't ruin my night or fic, but I'm not super into the formalized contract thing or it being the focus of a relationship/what the relationship is primarily about, and I don't want to accidentally set any traps for my author. I'm fine with and enjoy non-formalized play, with people having fun with pain, bondage, some power dynamics (e.g. characters addressing each other by title), etc.

Painplay as a punishment or unintended and/or unwelcome sexual arousal from a punishment or torture: If someone's getting spanked, I want it to be because they want it. If someone's getting tortured, I don't want it to be sexual.

Anal without any sort of prep. Anal tearing: Using things that aren't lube as lubricant going by porn logic is fine so long as there's no damage from it, e.g. semen or spit. For MXTX works, consider use of lubricant an AU I am always opted in to. I'm less concerned about showing the work and more concerned about not getting "like canon, complete with blood."

Women on the receiving end of anal: If women are having anal sex, I want them to be on the giving end only (so f->m pegging is fine).

Erik Killmonger/T'Challa

What I like about this canon/ship:

Erik is my favorite MCU antagonist. I like both these characters a lot, and they had a lot of chemistry. Lean in all you like on the incest angle (though leaning back if you'd rather do that is also fine). The huge contrast between how they were raised and where they ended up is great, as is T'Challa ending on the decision that he can and should do more, starting with an outreach program in the neighborhood Erik grew up in. Their redux of their fight, Erik's vision with his dad, the scene where he shows up at court (and T'Challa refused to deny him), and the scene where Erik said he'd rather be thrown in the sea are all my favorites, but I adored pretty much every second of this film.

Vid Freeforms:

I tried to throw a range of things that seemed like they might fit into the freeforms, but what I want to communicate is that I am good with any level of fluff or angst and don't have a preference for genre or tone. What I like about this canon/ship/character:

Goh Peik Lin is cute, funny, supportive, and a great friend. I want her to get nice things. I love that she keeps a cocktail dress in her car (because doesn’t everyone?). I love the makeover session and her sense of style. I love that she was basically two steps away from taking selfies on the mansion stairs. Her family is rich, but they’re still not Nick Young rich, and I love how in her own way, she embodies both that sense of nouveau riche and also someone who would not have been out of place showing up to all the university events for free pizza.

What I like about this canon/ship/character:

Not gonna lie, Varric is my fave. I am still disappointed I did not get to make Hawke/Varric be an in-game thing and will probably be torn between delight and indignation if we're ever allowed to romance him in future games. Hawke is an absolute disaster, and I can really appreciate that in a character. I love Hawke a lot is what I'm saying. Hawke/Varric is my OTP. DAII is probably still my favorite, but I love the 'verse and its many characters. Whether you want to make me something shippy or just do a video with Female Hawke, I am excited for whichever.

What I like about this canon/ship:

Dwarf Fortress is a (free!) simulation game with a steep learning curve, but a huge pay-off in highly entertaining emergent story-telling and weird dwarven decisions. This can include anything from new mothers in the military taking their babies into battle to use as shields to tantrum-throwing dwarves (upset that their babies are now full of arrows) destroying the whole fortress and killing everyone in it by hitting the lever to your "magma solves everything" doomsday device.

It's also coming to Steam!

Losing is fun!

I will never not love this game. When I first started playing it, it was a very different game than it is now, but it has only gotten better. I have embraced the mantra that losing is fun, discovered all the hidden fun stuff, and even managed attempts at mega projects and tried my hand at silly dwarf tricks. (Few survived the first several attempts at a magma-fall through the main dining room, but those few left were delighted at how neat it looked! ... For however long they lived after the ensuing grief stricken tantrum spiral. Apparently a magma fountain can only do so much.)

What I like about this canon/ship:

These movies are fun and silly and funny, and I had a great deal of fun watching them. They're not super deep, but sometimes things don't have to be. I love both the kids as themselves and the avatars, and I really, really love the world itself. Jumanji is so great. Terrifying, but great.

What I like about this canon/ship/characters:

This is heavy on the nostalgia, but I have seen it at least once since childhood (and countless times growing up), and I think it holds up. I love the animation and think it's gorgeous, but I also and especially love how poignant it feels. The sense of loneliness and wonder and the finality of change. Molly's speech about the Unicorn coming too late. The terror of the Red Bull and the triumph of her driving him into the sea. The knowledge that though the Unicorn became a unicorn again, she would never be what she was, that there are things once known that can't be unknown. You can never go back. It's tragic and hopeful at the same time.

What I like about this canon:

I am at that point in a letter where I'm despairing a little, so I'm instead of giving you something for everything, let me instead talk about the canon. I love the world this is in a lot, all of the characters we're meant to be sympathetic to, a lot we're probably not supposed to be sympathetic to, the feelings all these characters have for each other, and the self-sacrificing and loyalty and weighing obligations versus morals versus actual wants. I love the bits of mystery and intrigue. I love the characters I love fighting and getting injured (yes, give me Wei Wuxian bleeding from the neck!) and recovering. I love every single moment when a character I'm requesting looks even a little bit sad. And I also love the lighthearted moments, like the Wen Remnants dinner; Jiang Yanli, Wei Wuxian, and Jiang Cheng eating soup together; carving graffiti in some poor person's wall; and Wen Ning literally wheeling Wei Wuxian around.
