Hi! I love all of the fandoms and characters I'm requesting, so if something is longer or shorter than its counterparts, it's due to how much I had to say, not how much I love the request.

If you've written or drawn for me before, my likes and DNWs have changed a bit (and are different between my two most current exchanges), so please make sure you're looking at the right letter or are looking at the AO3 requests. For instance, I've taken out the horror likes for this particular exchange. (I still like horror! It just seems less relevant for this particular exchange and what I'm requesting.)

As ever and always, I would like to emphasize, please don't feel obligated to read this letter in its entirety (or at all!). If you already have an idea of what you want to do from just the AO3 requests, go for it! This is all to (I hope) make it easier on you, and I am a big believer in optional details being optional. There being fic or art for my faves will make me happy. Everything else is icing on delicious, delicious cake.

If I flub the letter writing and editing process and mention something in my letter that is not on AO3 and in my sign-ups or if I phrase something poorly, I'd also like to emphasize that that's on me and you're free to pretend you didn't see it (or to ask the mods if you're still concerned). My DNWs are all listed under DNWs in my optional details on AO3. If it's something not listed under DNWs, then that's a preference, but I'm still going to read/look at and comment on your fic/art and (if history is anything to judge) be really happy with it.

General Notes

On past gifts

I've received works in the past for several of my requested fandoms, which I loved! I just want more. If you matched me on it, I am sure I will love whatever you make me, whether it's along the lines of the gifts I've already received or something entirely new.

On other gifts

I am always open to treats and late gifts, though please check my more recent DNWs. If you want to treat with mediums I haven't requested, I'm open to that for visual mediums, games, vids, and text.

Recursive works

Recursive works are fanworks based on fanworks (remixes, sequels, illustration of fic, etc.). If you'd like to create a recursive work, I'm open to it for past gifts where you have permission (blanket or otherwise) and my own works. I'm also open to it for other works I know and love, but you may want to check through the mod to be sure I remember it even if it's something I've commented on in the past.

Format Likes

I like all ratings for works, from General Audiences to Explicit. For fic, I'm open to any length, from drabbles and drabble series to just over the min to sprawling epics. I like both traditional fic and non-traditional and experimental formats, including interactive fiction, CYOA, epistolary, and multimedia. I prefer past or present tense. I generally prefer third person (especially consistent third person limited where POV shift only happens in scene breaks or doesn't happen at all) or a match to canon (which in some cases is going to be first or second) or a match to the standards of the form (e.g. first person for epistolary, letters, and journals; second person for CYOA and IF). (I'm open to everything! These are just preferences.)

Art Likes

I like rough sketches and clean line art both, bright and dark colors to set mood, comics, scenery, single and group character poses, the cute and the creepy. All stages, all skill levels, all types, I always like seeing what someone else comes up with. Go as E- or G-rated as you'd like. I especially like character expressions and things that set mood (color, body language, composition, etc). I also like details in clothing, jewelry, and hairstyles and hair ribbons and fancy hair pieces where appropriate (e.g. fancy weddings including fancy clothes). I'm including some pose ideas if you want to include more than the prompted one or to treat some of the fic prompts, but please don't feel like you need to include any of them.

For shipping purposes, some non-explicit poses I especially like for ships are characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), and pressing their foreheads together.

For explicit poses, feel free to take anything from my smut likes, but for something visual, I especially like bruises and marks, face touching, and hair-petting or pulling.

As a reminder, the art freeform I chose is Carried Over The Threshold for Dragon Age (M!Hawke/Varric), Naruto (Guy/Kakashi), and Scum Villain (Sha Hualing/Liu Mingyan, Mobei-jun/Shang Qinghua, and Shang Qinghua/Shen Yuan | Shen Qingqiu). I see that freeform as including one character carrying the other over a threshold of some sort. Into a house? Into the bedroom? I'd love for them to be wearing some sort of wedding clothes, though two people eloping in normal clothing is also fine. I'd love for bridal carry, but if you want to have fun and do piggyback or some other sort of carry, that's also fine!

DNW Clarifications and Explications:

Dubcon, noncon, rapeplay, characters thinking sex they engaged in might have been rape, or anything implying any of this. Sexual harassment or menacing.: In the past, I've been fine with (and liked) a lot of dubcon, but I currently don't want any.

In the case of accidental marriages or engagements, I do not want anyone having sex because they feel obligated or don't think they have a choice. This marriage was an accident, but this person is hot, and I want to jump into bed with them: fine. Starting off with a sexless marriage because they're not on the same page yet: fine. They're both secretly in love and think the other person is only interested in the physical and practical sides of the relationship: fine. One person thinks the other is consenting, while the other is resigned to it; neither is fully on board, but thinks it's necessary to consummate their marriage; or even both want it, but think the other does not: please avoid. All spouses don't need to have enthusiastically consented to the marriage, but if there's going to be sex, I don't want any misunderstandings about all parties consenting to that sex.

Hopelessly unhappy endings: I'd prefer a happy ending, the sense that there's a roadmap to get there eventually, or something bittersweet over something that's a bad end for my fave.

Permanent requested character death: Impermanent requested character death is fine and baked into a few of my likes and canons. I would like all requested characters to be alive at the end of the story. Wrt canons that killed off my faves, you can set things pre-canon events, have them miraculously survive, have canon diverge, etc., and I will take it.

Comas and unrequested real life serious illness: Weird confined to canon stuff like Without a Cure, qi deviations, or chakra exhaustion are fine. Cancer is not.

Graphic, descriptive eye trauma: Non-descriptive references are fine.

Infidelity etc.: Poly is fine. (But I still don't want MBJ/anyone other than SQH. It's fine to have simultaneous MBJ/SQH and SQH/SQQ.) I don't want anyone confused on the fact that it is poly, not cheating. If you don't mention current canon partners, I will happily assume it's a canon divergent AU and they're single.

In general, my major concern is to avoid a) definitely cheating in any direction, b) something in which one part of the ship thinks the other part is in a closed relationship and that's what the main ship is engaging in, c) something in which one half of a closed relationship believes the other is cheating on them and we the audience are likely to also think that's what's going on and which comprises a major, ongoing part of the story as opposed to something brief and mistaken.

If a character is alive and the other character knows they're alive and they're in a committed monogamous relationship, even if everyone else thinks they're dead or the situation looks dire, I'd prefer not to get a fic where the character moves on during that time; break-ups afterward due to changing circumstances and being a different person now are fine.

Focus on unrequested ships: Other relationships can be present or referenced, whether canonical or not, but I'd prefer not to have them as a focus.

Focus on unrequited love: For pining fic, characters can think it is unrequited, but I would like them to be wrong.

Romantic or sexual relationships between adults and minors or references to this. Adults being explicitly sexually attracted to people who are currently underage. Explicit underage sex: Aging up so everyone is over 18 is fine. Relationships between two people roughly the same age is fine, like a 17 and 19 year old. Minors having unrequited crushes on adults is fine. References to teenagers being sexually active in teenager-typical ways is fine, but I'd rather not get explicit sex scenes. For scenarios in which two adults knew each other when one was a minor, I'd prefer not to have direct references to the possibility that anything could've happened then, even if it's to emphasize that the younger adult is an adult now.

Unrequested AUs or AUs in which canon universes with fantastical elements (magic, chakra, super powers, the Force) have said fantastical elements removed without anything equivalent to replace it and are turned entirely mundane: Canon divergence is fine. Anything on my likes lists, which I have currently or previously prompted, or which involves AU freeforms I have requested in other exchanges are all also fine so long as they don't trip current DNWs.

Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master": Mentioning this because I have a lot of BDSM-related or adjacent likes. It wouldn't ruin my night or fic, but I'm not super into the formalized contract thing or it being the focus of a relationship/what the relationship is primarily about, and I don't want to accidentally set any traps for my author. I'm fine with and enjoy non-formalized play, with people having fun with pain, bondage, some power dynamics (e.g. characters addressing each other by title and SQH calling MBJ "my king"), etc.

Painplay as a punishment or unintended and/or unwelcome sexual arousal from a punishment or torture: If someone's getting spanked, I want it to be because they want it. If someone's getting tortured, I don't want it to be sexual.

Anal without lubricant or stretching. Anal tearing: Using things that aren't lube as lubricant going by porn logic is fine so long as there's no damage from it, e.g. semen. For MXTX works, consider use of lubricant an AU I am always opted in to. I'm less concerned about showing the work and more concerned about not getting "like canon, complete with blood."

Women on the receiving end of anal: If women are having anal sex, I want them to be on the giving end only (so f->m pegging is fine).

Dragon Age

General DNWs

Fandom DNWs:

• Permanent character death of Hawke companions or household staff besides Anders. (Sorry, Anders. You don't need to die, but you can.) If you kill Anders, I'd prefer Hawke not be completely unfeeling about it.
• Death at all of Dog or Sandal.

General Fandom Notes:

All marriages and engagements for my requested ship, please! Feel free to set this in DAII, DA:I, or anywhere in canon you like. You can even set it pre-canon if you want to do some sort of canon divergence or are working with the time travel prompt. My favorite Hawke is purple mage Hawke, but I love all Hawkes, and you can choose whichever you please. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Male Hawke/Varric

What I like about this canon/ship:

Not gonna lie, Varric is my fave. I am still disappointed I did not get to make Hawke/Varric be an in-game thing and will probably be torn between delight and indignation if we're ever allowed to romance him in future games. Hawke is an absolute disaster, and I can really appreciate that in a character. I love Hawke a lot is what I'm saying. Hawke/Varric is my OTP. DAII is probably still my favorite, but I love the 'verse and its many characters.

Fic Freeforms:

• "We Could Be Dead Tomorrow So Let's Get Married Today": They lead dangerous lives. Let them have something nice.
  • My expectations from this are either a proposal or a wedding, with optional "Huh, we aren't dead, but we're still married." Is this a general concern about their dangerous lives? Something that happened during a particular crisis? Did Hawke show up at the Inquisition and have a hasty private wedding with Varric before the issue with the Nightmare came to full fruition? I don't have strong feelings on the exact circumstances.
• Disastrous Wedding Ceremony Everyone Will Gossip About For Years:
  • Feel free to go as funny or full on horror movie with this as you like. Is it disastrous because a demon possessed a wedding guest to object, because they fell in love with Hawke while they were in the Fade? Because their wedding guests started a fight with each other? Because the Templars crashed the party? Because of something else? Because of all of the above? My expectations for this involve an actual wedding going wrong in a way worthy of being gossiped about; actual gossip does not need to occur, though would be a very welcome bonus.
• Marriage to Satisfy Life-Debt / Life-Debt is Considered Marriage:
  • What is the life debt? I don't know, but I think they're dwarven married now. My expectations for this include a life debt of some sort between Hawke and Varric (Does Hawke save Varric's life? Does Varric pull Hawke out of the Fade somehow? Something else?) and it resulting in them being married now.
• Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married:
  • My expectations for this include some sort of time travel having occurred and a new and unexpected marriage between Hawke and Varric. Why are they time traveling? Does the marriage happen while they're time traveling, or is this something where they go back to the future and discover something they changed in the past means their timeline was affected now

due South

General DNWs

due South DNWs:

• Permanent non-canon death of any named due South character.
• Death of Diefenbaker.

General Fandom Notes:

All marriages and engagements for my requested ship, please! I love every character in this show, so feel free to pull in whoever else you want.

It's been two years since my last rewatch, but I'm due another one soon and I have watched it many, many times, so don't be afraid to include obscure references. Even if I don't catch your references now, I'm sure I will enjoy it when I revisit it later. On the flip side, don't worry if you haven't seen it in a while and maybe don't remember every detail of canon. I care more about these characters than getting small details right. I'm happy to read any sort of change as some sort of canon divergence.

Fraser/RayK

What I like about this canon/ship:

I watched this show as it was airing, and I loved RayV and was not expecting him to get replaced, nor to love his replacement … and yet that is exactly what happened. I was as surprised as Fraser when RayK was there in Vecchio's place, and absolutely bewildered and delighted when he went for a hug. Everything about their first episode together was disastrous and glorious. The punch! The car on fire! And even after all that, they quickly click together and make a fantastic team. As a ship, there's just so much. Buddy breathing! Searching for the Hand of Franklin together! Their general chemistry and how much fun they seem to have together! Their faces when they're grinning at each other on the ship! I love them. They're both weird in their own ways and they work so well together.

Fic Freeforms:

• Accidental Shapeshifter Marriage Due to Unknowing Theft of Animal Skin:
  • Who is the shapeshifter and who accidentally stole the other's pelt? I'm expecting a minimum of one shapeshifter in this, for the theft to constitute marriage, and for the theft to be accidental. Did Ray think Fraser brought him back a weird souvenir post-canon? Is this some sort of canon divergence/AU in which one is a selkie? I'd prefer to keep Fraser a Mountie, but you don't need to stick exactly to canon if you don't want to. If you do, I'm sure I'll be thrilled with that, too!

Naruto

General DNWs

Fandom DNWs:

• Seduction missions/any missions involving sex work.
• Boruto canon.
• Non-canonical permanent character death of named Naruto characters. (OCs are fine to kill.)
• Any mention of Neji dying.
• Summons deaths.

General Fandom Notes:

All marriages and engagements for my requested ship, please!

I go with the Guy writing/reading, but I don't mind anyone spelling it Gai instead. I'm not a huge fan of the end of the manga. You can feel free to ignore or include things from it at will so long as Neji doesn't die. If you just don't mention him, I will assume he is still alive and kicking around, so you don't need to directly contradict canon if you don't want to. I'm willing to do the heavy lifting in my head so long as you give me room to. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Guy/Kakashi

What I like about this canon/ship:

This is seriously one of my permanent OTPs. I love how they play off each other, the way they'll troll each other a little, but still hold genuine and abiding respect and affection for each other. I love their long history and how well they know each other. The setting itself is fun (battle wizard ninja! serious moments and silly shenanigans both!), but my greatest love is for the characters.

Fic Freeforms:

• Everyone Thought They Were Already Married:
  • To be fair, Kakashi has plans to marry Guy. He's just years late to actually propose. I'm expecting from this that they aren't already married, but people think they are. I'd enjoy something where now they're going to get married and people expressing surprise this is not already the state of things.
• Over The Top Marriage Proposal:
  • I can especially see this from Guy, but I'm open to either. I'm expecting a marriage proposal that is extra in some way, shape, or form.
• Proposal attempts keep being thwarted by circumstances:
  • Missions, invasions, nosy students! I'm expecting more than one proposal attempt sent awry by something going wrong. What sort of circumstances thwart them? Is it Guy or Kakashi proposing? Or both?

Psych

General DNWs

Psych DNWs:

• Permanent death of any recurring Psych named character.
• Shawn/Jules as a currently sailing ship. (I like this, but I don't want it for this particular exchange even as an open relationship.)
• Contentious break-up between Shawn and Jules. (For Gus/Shawn and my infidelity DNW, I would like to point to: they never got together or amicable break-up. I would be happy with any of those. If you don't mention their relationship as a thing, I will just go with my reading of choice. Going to also underline that first DNW here. Essentially: I love Jules, so please be kind to her character.)

General Fandom Notes:

All marriages and engagements for my requested ship, please! I love every character in this show, so feel free to pull in whoever else you want.

I haven't seen the last season of Psych. I was a little behind and then I didn't want it to be over. I'm open to any and all spoilers. If you want to go with a canon divergent AU or pretend things you didn't like in later canon didn't happen, I am open to that, too. (I am always open to AUs, canon divergent or otherwise, except those I specifically DNWed in my general DNWs.)

Point being, a heads up that I may miss references, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't include them.

When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Guy/Shawn

What I like about this canon/ship:

This is one of my forever OTPs. I love how much they hold genuine affection for each other, their long history, and the way they just have fun together. Shawn could go off and do a billion different weird jobs in a billion places, then come home and sign them up for a lease, and Gus was still right there with him. It's canon that at least early on, Gus claims Shawn on his taxes. I'm just. *waves hands* I wrote a promo/ship manifesto for this way back in the day, and I stand by it. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER, OKAY.

(Sorry. Even years have not dampened my feelings.)

Fic Freeforms:

• Everyone Thought They Were Already Married:
  • To be fair, Gus claims Shawn on his taxes. I'm expecting from this that they aren't already married, but people think they are. I'd enjoy something where now they're going to get married and people expressing surprise this is not already the state of things.
• Everyone thought they were joking about getting married:
  • Not Gus. Gus realized Shawn was serious when he saw the marriage certificate.
    
    I'm expecting from this something in which a) people thought they were kidding and are surprised when it turns out to be true and b) either an engagement or actual marriage. For instance, something in which Shawn announces they're getting married and everyone is like, "Yeah, sure," only to get actual wedding announcements Gus has had professionally printed or they show up with rings later, something in which we don't see the actual "Yeah, sure," but get someone blurting out, "I thought you were joking. You're actually married?" or anything else that fits in that this is not the expected state of things, but yes, actually, Gus/Shawn has happened or will happen officially and legally. Do the gang all show up with their wedding invitations like, "This is a practical joke, but we're interested in seeing where it goes?" only to show up to an actual wedding? I'm not picky about how it's announced, whether we see the actual announcement or just find out about the reaction to it, and whether a wedding has taken place yet or not.
• Getting Married for the Health Insurance:
  • Shawn leads a very dangerous life, okay. I'm expecting something where the purported reason for the marriage is putting someone on someone else's health insurance. Due to circumstances, I'd think this would be Shawn, but if you can make it work otherwise, I'd be happy for the reverse, too. I'd especially love if it turned out that both of them just really wanted to marry the other no matter what or if this is the impetus to realizing they were in love this whole time.
• Getting Married So You Can't Testify Against Each Other in Court:
  • To be honest, Gus doesn't know how this hasn't come up sooner. I'm expecting something where the purported reason for the marriage is so they can't be compelled to testify against the other in court (whether this is actually a pressing matter or a random what if). When it comes to explicit fic, for SY!SQQ/SQH, in the case of bondage, painplay, or power dynamics, I'd prefer SQH to be the one getting tied up, in pain, or in the subordinate role, though that's just a preference, and I would be open to whatever. Otherwise, I'm fine with whichever. For SQH/MBJ, I have no strong preferences.

Shang Qinghua/Mobei-jun

What I like about this canon/ship:

Loyalty kink! Mobei-jun taking "I will follow you for the rest of my life" seriously, even when Shang Qinghua was saying it to say it! Mobei-jun throwing Shang Qinghua in the cave, but then handing out beatdowns when someone dares to actually attack him. Shang Qinghua, who never uses his sword even on joint Cang Qiong missions, grabbing a sword and flinging himself off the ridge to catch his falling king! ("Fuck, he can’t fly!")

THE EXTRAS. The demon protection squad! Not-bed-sharing! Sleeping on the floor with a leash around his neck as one of his very first interactions! Shang Qinghua says being pathetic is what men find hot, and Mobei-jun is satisfied, because Shang Qinghua has spent their entire acquaintance acting pathetic around him, but also makes plans to let Shang Qinghua see him at his most powerless and vulnerable. Shang Qinghua pretends to betray him and nearly gets him arm torn off trying to protect him, and Mobei-jun somehow finds the energy and determination to get up and drive off his uncle. THREE TIMES A DAY. How utterly oblivious Shang Qinghua was and how quietly serious Mobei-jun remained about him. The cart! Mobei-jun will make him noodles!!!

Sorry, but I am still at the exclamation marks and hearts stage of loving them. From Mobei-jun’s point of view, this silly, weak human appears out of nowhere with a bunch of canon fodder and pledges himself, and he’s waiting for and expecting betrayal, but all along Shang Qinghua shows him loyalty and slowly steals his heart. From Shang Qinghua’s point of view, that is his dream man and favorite character and oh shit, he is unattainably hot and somehow Shang Qinghua went and fell in love, totally unpredictable, who could have guessed. And at the end, they come to understand each other a bit more, and Shang Qinghua stays.

• Accidental Engagement - Didn't Know Item Was Traditional Betrothal Gift
  • I'm expecting one of them to either accept or give a betrothal gift without knowing it's a betrothal gift and this to result in an engagement. Probably Shang Qinghua is the one who is confused as to the nature of the gift, but if you want to write it the other way (or for both to not realize at first that they're engaged now), I'd be interested in however you want to run this. When do they both get on the same page? Immediately, when one of them expresses pleasure at the other accepting the proposal? Once wedding planning commences or when someone congratulates them? When the wedding has started? What sort of item is it? Is this a tiny bit of worldbuilding Shang Qinghua forgot, or is this something where he left it more open-ended and the world filled in the gaps?
• Accidental Shapeshifter Marriage Due to Unknowing Theft of Animal Skin
  • Who is the shapeshifter and who accidentally stole the other's pelt? I'm expecting a minimum of one shapeshifter in this, for the theft to constitute marriage, and for the theft to be accidental. Is this some sort of canon divergence/AU in which one is a selkie? Do ice demons have an animal form? Did Shang Qinghua go looking for a blanket and accidentally declare himself Mobei-jun's husband? Did Shang Qinghua leave his pelt out, and Mobei-jun assumed it was a gift or tribute? When and how does the accidental thief find out they're married now?
• Arranged Marriage Contract Bought Out By Someone Else
  • I'm interpreting this as the arranged marriage contract being to someone else, and the contract being bought by a member of the ship coming to the rescue. Is this Mobei-jun buying Shang Qinghua's contract? (And if so, does Shang Qinghua think he's making sure Shang Qinghua can't be distracted from his service or otherwise explain it away, or does he actually realize right away that oh, wow, Mobei-jun is very much into marrying him and keeping him forever?) Is it Shang Qinghua buying Mobei-jun's, because no one is allowed to marry his king unless Mobei-jun is fully on board with it? (Wait, what do you mean Shang Qinghua is now expected to marry Mobei-jun?) Is it a wife plot that falls on one of them because bingqiu is already locked down?
• Wedding Night Reveals That New Spouse Has Tentacles
  • I'm expecting a wedding night and the reveal that one of them has tentacles on that night, but I'm okay with a tentacle singular if that tentacle is a tentacle dick. Is this a case of Shang Qinghua having a secret fetish, and while he didn't explicitly write down that Mobei-jun has tentacles, Mobei-jun is his perfect man, and oh, whoops, looks like his secret dreams are about to come true? Did Shang Qinghua write a tiny bit of ice demon lore that includes tentacle appendages and promptly forget about it, only to find out once he's naked with his new spouse? Is Shang Qinghua the one who secretly has tentacles?

Shang Qinghua/Shen Yuan | Shen Qingqiu

What I like about this canon/ship:

Snark! Bonding over their shared homeworld and SQH’s questionable author choices! They have a relationship with each other and can be open with each other in ways that aren’t possible with anyone else in SVSSS. SQQ gets enjoyment out of bullying SQH, and SQH thrives even on negative attention. See: his gleeful reading of Cucumber Bro’s comments just prior to electrocuting himself. SQQ read every single chapter and extra and had every bit of merchandise. He’s SQH’s biggest fan and worst critic, and I love that they both ended up in the world SQH wrote.

I love them together and separately and think they’d actually be great and have a lot of fun together.

• Arranged Marriage Contract Bought Out By Someone Else
  • I'm interpreting this as the arranged marriage contract being to someone else, and the contract being bought by a member of the ship coming to the rescue. Is this pre-transmigration, and Shen Yuan found out his favorite/least favorite author is in a contract … and this is the perfect opportunity to talk to him in person and tell him exactly how much his books could improve/prevent him from never writing again due to a new marriage? Is this post-transmigration, and one of them has to save the other from one of the wife plots? Is this a dropped Shen Qingqiu storyline?
• Consummating Death Bed Marriage in a Next Life
  • What I'm expecting from this is that Shen Yuan and Airplane got married their first life for reasons, both died, and in their next life, they're finally getting on that consummation thing. Why they got married and when they realize the other person is their last life's husband, I'm open to whatever. Were Shen Yuan and Airplane friends pre-transmigration, and a sickly Shen Yuan wanted to be sure Airplane was taken care of (only for Airplane to electrocute himself first, leaving Shen Yuan to die of rage that his stupid shitty author husband went first)? Were they boyfriends turned husbands who died on their wedding night, before the wedding night could take place? Do they realize each other's identity the same time as canon? Did Shen Yuan and Airplane realize that they were each Cucumber and Airplane Shooting Toward the Sky or do they only realize when they're living their new lives as Shen Qingqiu and Shang Qinghua?
• Character A and Character B Must Pretend to Be Married For the Inheritance
  • I'm expecting they're fake married for the purposes of an inheritance. Is this a pre-transmigration scheme between friends who are attracted to each other or some sort of weird Airplane plot as SQQ and SQH? Were they already in love or do they have a feelings realization partway through? Is there pining as they share the same bed and the horrified realization that oh, no, all the other person's annoying habits are cute? What sort of inheritance is it? Is it SQQ's or SQH's or something to do with their sect?

  • I'm expecting one of them to be accused of something and condemned to some sort of punishment and for the other volunteering to marry them to get them out of it somehow, but I'm open to switching out the condemned criminal part to accused criminal in the case of Shen Qingqiu. Feel free to mix and match with the suspected or confirmed traitor tag! Is this some obscure bit of law that Shang Qinghua pulls out to keep Shen Qingqiu from Huan Hua Palace? Did Shang Qinghua get found out as a spy early on and Shen Qingqiu is left frantically trying to keep Airplane from being cast out? Is this something they planned as a contingency? Something else I haven't considered? Does one of them have a feelings realization midway through a very hasty wedding? Do they unexpectedly live happily ever after?

  • I'm expecting for this marriage to start without the expectation of romance and for practical reasons … and then they fall in love. Yesss. Is this pre- or post-transmigration? (Yes, I'm stealing this part from earlier, because it's still good.) Do they already know each other as Airplane and Cucumber, or are there identity shenanigans, too?   • I'm expecting someone to have made up a spouse who turns out to match the other person in the ship, but I'm also open to some sort of canon divergent AU in which Airplane wrote a story with a self-insert who has a husband based on Cucumber … and transmigrates into his self-insert, whose husband is now a transmigrated Shen Yuan (or something else playing around with Airplane's writing and both transmigrating). Is this a case where pre-transmigration Airplane lies about being married online, only to meet someone who directly matches that description? Does pre-transmigration Shen Yuan tell his family he's married to an author, only for his family to track a confused Airplane down? Is it something set in the Scum Villain 'verse?
