Hi! A lot of this is copy-pasted from last year, so if you think it's familiar, that's why. My previous, slightly longer letters with expanded likes lists also still hold true, so if you want even more options, feel free to peruse my 2020 Fic in a Box letter for generalities or any past letters with applicable fandoms, though please be aware of my current DNWs.
I really do want all of my requests. If one section is longer than another, it's due to how much I had to say or available to copy-paste, not an indication that I want the request more. All of my prompts are just ideas for if you need a place to start; I'd also be really happy with something running with my likes.

I like all ratings for works, from General Audiences to Explicit.
I'm open to any length, from just over the minimum to sprawling epics (and under the min, including drabbles, for treats).
I like both traditional fic and non-traditional and experimental formats, including interactive fiction, Choose Your Own Adventure, epistolary, in universe documents, and multimedia. I like past and present tense. I generally prefer third person (especially consistent third person limited where POV shift only happens in scene breaks or doesn't happen at all) or a match to canon (which in some cases is going to be first (as with ISMM) or second) or a match to the standards of the form (e.g. first person for epistolary, letters, and journals; second person for CYOA and IF).
(I'm open to everything! These are just preferences.)
Art Likes
Go as E- or G-rated as you'd like. I especially like character expressions and things that set mood (color, body language, composition, etc), as well as scenery. I also like details in clothing, jewelry, and hairstyles and hair ribbons and fancy hair pieces where appropriate (e.g. fancy weddings including fancy clothes).
Some non-explicit poses I especially like for ships are characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), dancing, cuddling, and pressing their foreheads together.
For sexually explicit art, feel free to take anything from my smut likes, but for something visual, I especially like bruises and marks, bondage, face touching or holding hands or other visual forms of intimacy and affection while fucking (and also just in general), and hair-petting or pulling.
Vid Likes
I love all vids! I am good with any level of shippiness. I am willing to put on my ship goggles for all requested ships and take them off for anyone else who appears, so please don't worry about making them too shippy or not shippy enough.
While I'm listing songs with some of these requests, they are very optional suggestions for if you have no ideas and to give a minor glimpse into what I like, not something I'm expecting.
My preferences for favorites in vids tend toward not including audio clips from the source or added text, but I've loved a lot of things that do that and enjoyed in general a number of others, too, so that's not a no on those things, just a "if you're really trying hard to tailor, this is about the only pattern I could discern from what I've loved best in the past and even it's not any sort of hard line or actual dislike." I like character studies and shippiness and action and vid AUs and thoughtful explorations of themes and those crack vids that take a funny audio source and smash it up with another canon and pretty much every sort of vid I can think of. I have not met a type of vid I did not like.
Besides my DNWs, for music, I am very easily led into loving a song by it accompanying a vid I like, but some music types I particularly enjoy include pop (modern and anything back to the 60s), dance music, trance, techno, rock, alternative, hip hop, folk, indie, orchestral, and metal along the lines of Savatage or Nightwish (more symphonic than thrash). I'm okay with music in any language or without vocals. If there's a particular artist or song you love, I am ready to be sold on it if I'm not there already. Also, it doesn't have to include music! As I said, I am all for those short crack vids that take audio from something else (or for a more serious take on that, too).

- AUs in which canon universes with fantastical elements (magic, chakra, cultivation, super powers, the Force) have said fantastical elements removed without anything equivalent to replace it and are turned entirely mundane.

- When swapping a character's physical sex inside the story, the narrative of the story also swapping pronouns to follow the sex of the character’s current physical form instead of continuing to use the pronouns of their gender identity. (Essentially: I want the pronouns used for a character to match their gender identity. If Ling Wen assumes her male form for story purposes, please continue to call her she/her; same with other characters. If someone transmigrates into a body that's a different sex, please continue to use their original pronouns unless that character also experiences a shift in their gender identity.)
- The phrase "gay panic."
- Infidelity. (References to canon infidelity are fine.)
- Focus on unrequited love or the requested ship being unrequited. (Pining is fine; other characters not in the requested ship having unrequited love is fine; the requested ship mistakenly believing it's unrequited is fine.) (Exceptions: DF ships; Lan Wangji->Wei Wuxian if it's never brought up and assumed in the background; Nie Huaisang->Wei Wuxian in a Nie Huaisang pov fic focused on him, references to canon break-ups, vids except Guy/Kakashi.)
- Focus on unrequested ships. (Other ships, canon or not, are fine so long as they're not a major focus of the work.)
- Underage (under 18) sex. (References to teenagers being sexually active in teenager-typical ways is fine, but I'd rather not get explicit sex scenes.)
- Adult/currently-a-minor relationships (short age gaps of 17/19 are fine, as are large age gaps between adults).
- The spelling "cum" (as opposed to "come").
- Anal tearing or bleeding.
- Women on the receiving end of anal.
- Contract or 24/7 BDSM or the word "master" in a sexual context.
- Painplay as a punishment or unintended and/or unwelcome sexual arousal from a punishment or torture.

- Visual mediums with strobing effects/rapid bright flashing lights. Graphic descriptions of eye trauma. (References to past eye trauma or non-descriptive eye loss are fine.)
- Recipes that require mushrooms, meat or meat byproducts. (Recipes that can use substitutions are fine, like subbing shortening for lard or being able to use "chikn" strips in place of chicken or tofu in place of mushrooms or chef's choice of protein.)
Additional Vid DNWs:
- Gangster rap, dubstep, or the type of country that's heavy on twanging, nasal singing. (Other types of rap and country welcome!)
- Outside clips that include real life crimes or tragedies.
- Outside clips that include clearly visible on-screen naked dicks. (I'm not expecting it, but this DNW is on the very off-chance someone wants to include porn clips. Clothed dicks, dicks inside of people that we don't clearly see, dicks hidden by legs, etc. are all fine, but I don't want to see a naked penis front and center. I am also perfectly happy to have a SFW vid and/or a vid with only canon visuals!)
Dwarf Fortress DNWs:
- No fandom specific DF DNWs. Reminder that anyone can die in DF except pets, and please no creatures that could be pets dying directly by dwarf, human, or elf hands. You can also have unhappy endings and unrequited love!
Naruto DNWs:
- Boruto canon.
- Permanent noncanonical character death of canon characters. (Killing villains who died in different ways is fine. Killing OCs is fine. Temporary character death is fine.)
- Any mention of Neji dying.
- Summons deaths.
- Sakura/Naruto, Sakura/Sasuke, Sakura/Kakashi, Sakura/Guy. (References to early canon crushes are fine.)
Modao Zushi/Untamed DNWs:
- Permanent noncanonical character death of canon characters. (Killing villains who died in different ways is fine. Killing OCs is fine. Temporary character death is fine.)
- Break-up of wangxian. (Divergence in which they're never together or open relationship are both fine.)
- Lan Wangji in a relationship without Wei Wuxian.
- On-screen dog attack.
- Intentional fusion of MDZS/The Untamed. (I love both of these, but I love them both as separate things. That said, please don't worry too much about this DNW. I'm fine with minor details getting confused between various adaptations, and if you don't tag with both, I will assume you did your best. If you want to turn Untamed censorship puppets into zombies, that is the one thing I'd actually be very happy to have brought over from MDZS, though it's not necessary if you'd rather keep the puppets. For me, some plot points I'd love kept to their separate canons are: Yin iron in CQL; Wei Wuxian as the inventor of demonic cultivation in MDZS. Second flute/Su She kills Jin Zixuan using Wen Ning in CQL; no second flute/Wei Wuxian is responsible and loses control in MDZS. During the group night hunt, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji have a conversation about being zhiji in CQL; Lan Wangji kisses a blindfolded Wei Wuxian in MDZS.)
Stardew Valley (Video Game) DNWs:
- Permanent noncanonical character death of canon characters. (Temporary character death is fine. Killing OCs is fine.)
Scum Villain's Self-Saving System DNWs:
- MBJ ships without SQH, even in the background.
- Character death of: ZZL. (If you're going with post-canon, please either don't mention him or pretend with me that he definitely survived.)
- Permanent character death of: Airplane Bro!SQH, MBJ (any), Bingmei, Shen Yuan, SV!verse LQG, NYY (any). (Temporary character death is fine, both canon and not.)
- Breaking up SQH/MBJ or SQQ/LBH if they're already together. (Divergence in which they're never together or open relationship are both fine.)
The Witcher (TV) DNWs:
- Yennefer as a plot device to facilitate Geralt/Jaskier
- Geralt/Yennefer being an endgame, happily ever after ship. (Basically: please don't AU away their break up unless you've also AUed away their ever getting together.)
DNW Clarifications and Explications:
Comas and unrequested real life serious illness: Weird confined to canon stuff like Without a Cure, qi deviations, or chakra exhaustion are fine. Cancer is not.
Gender-related dysphoria: Dysphoria unrelated to gender is fine. I'm good with body horror, but if someone transmigrates into an AFAB body from an AMAB one or vice versa (or something else where gender dysphoria can crop up), I don't want descriptions of their discomfort with their new chest or genitalia or signs that their gender identity is a reason this experience is distressing for them. Discomfort over things like the body being the wrong height or the arms being shorter or other things that could be the same whether male or female are fine. "This is weird, but I'm rolling with it" is fine. "I have breasts now and I'm actively distraught over it" is not a good fit for a gift for me.
Trans characters existing without any reference to them experiencing dysphoria is fine (as are references to binding, tucking, and other things that I have room to read as to do with presentation alone).
I'm fine with pregnancy experienced as body horror in mpreg, but in that case, please still avoid active distress over developing breast tissue/anything in the chest area, and please heed the pregnancy of trans men DNW.
Pregnancy of trans men: To be as clear as possible, this DNW is for pregnancy of people who were assigned female at birth but identify as men. So long as my other DNWs are followed, I'm fine with things like people changing around their own body, including their reproductive systems, with magic or by other means to try to make mpreg possible; trans women or nonbinary people getting pregnant; or male transmigrators getting pregnant (whether it's because they fell into an omegaverse world, men can just get pregnant in this world, or they ended up in a female body (in which in this one case, yes, you can mpreg a newly trans man, though please heed the gender-related dysphoria DNW)).
Dubcon, noncon, rapeplay. Sexual harassment or menacing: In the past, I've been fine with (and liked) a lot of dubcon, but I currently don't want any. In the case of anything that could be taken in a dub- or noncon direction, I want the consensual version only.
Memory issues related to sex: Memory issues unrelated to sex are fine.
Infidelity etc.: Poly is fine. I don't want anyone confused on the fact that it is poly, not cheating.
In general, my major concern is to avoid a) definitely cheating in any direction, b) something in which one part of the ship thinks the other part is in a closed relationship and that's what the main ship is engaging in, c) something in which one half of a closed relationship believes the other is cheating on them and we the audience are likely to also think that's what's going on and which comprises a major, ongoing part of the work as opposed to something brief and mistaken.
References to canon infidelity are fine.
Focus on unrequited love: For pining for requested ships, characters can think it is unrequited, but I would like them to be wrong. References to things as they stand at whatever point in canon are fine in canons where unrequited love comes up, but I'd rather not get a fic entirely about a character being sad that their love is a one way street and ending up alone unless explicitly requested.
Underage (under 18) sex: References to teenagers being sexually active in teenager-typical ways is fine, but I'd rather not get explicit sex scenes.
Adult/currently-a-minor relationships: Aging up so everyone is over 18 is fine. Relationships between two people roughly the same age is fine, like a 17 and 19 year old. References to minors having unrequited crushes on adults is fine (though in that case, again, I'd rather not have that unrequited crush be a major focus). For scenarios in which two adults knew each other when one was a minor, I'd prefer not to have direct references to the possibility that anything could've happened then, even if it's to emphasize that the younger adult is an adult now.
Anal tearing or bleeding: Dry sex and using things that aren't lube as lubricant (e.g. semen or spit) going by porn logic is fine so long as there's no damage from it.
Women on the receiving end of anal: If women are having anal sex, I want them to be on the giving end only (so f->m pegging is fine).
Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master" in a sexual context: Mentioning this because I have a lot of BDSM-related or adjacent likes. It wouldn't ruin my night or fic, but I'm not super into the formalized contract thing or it being the focus of a relationship/what the relationship is primarily about, and I don't want to accidentally set any traps for my author. I'm fine with and enjoy non-formalized play, with people having fun with pain, bondage, some power dynamics (e.g. characters addressing each other by title), etc.
Painplay as a punishment or unintended and/or unwelcome sexual arousal from a punishment or torture: If someone's getting spanked, I want it to be because they want it. If someone's getting tortured, I don't want it to be sexual.

Dwarf Fortress is a (free!) simulation game with a steep learning curve, but a huge pay-off in highly entertaining emergent story-telling and weird dwarven decisions. This can include anything from new mothers in the military taking their babies into battle to use as shields to tantrum-throwing dwarves (upset that their babies are now full of arrows) destroying the whole fortress and killing everyone in it by hitting the lever to your "magma solves everything" doomsday device.
It's also coming to Steam!

I will never not love this game. When I first started playing it, it was a very different game than it is now, but it has only gotten better. I have embraced the mantra that losing is fun, discovered all the hidden fun stuff, and even managed attempts at mega projects and tried my hand at silly dwarf tricks. (Few survived the first several attempts at a magma-fall through the main dining room, but those few left were delighted at how neat it looked! ... For however long they lived after the ensuing grief stricken tantrum spiral. Apparently a magma fountain can only do so much.)

Original Dwarf Character & Consequences Of Their Bad Decisions (Dwarf Fortress)
- What bad decisions does this dwarf make? Is it a series of bad decisions or just the one? Aquifers, evil biomes, stupid dwarf tricks, magma falls, retrieving a sock and letting in a forgotten beast, digging too deep, the consequences of a fell mood--there's so much to explore in DF, and I would take any sort of bad decision you wanted at all.
Necromancer & Their Ever-Growing Zombie Army (Dwarf Fortress)
- Is this a successful necromancer or one who's about to be crushed on the defenses of a fortress? Do they keep to themselves or are they about to conquer all? What made them decide to be a necromancer? Do they really love solitude and have raised an army to enforce it or do they have a purpose?
Forgotten Beast & Soon-To-Be-Dead Inhabitants Of Their New Lair (Dwarf Fortress)
- This forgotten beast is on its way to victory and a new home!!! I'm so excited for it. What sort of beast is it? What sort of fortress is it about to take over? Is it an easy victory or one hard fought? Do any dwarves make it out? What does the forgotten beast do with its new home decorated in dwarven blood?
Dwarven Engineer/Magma (Dwarf Fortress)
- The love that dare not speak its name. Does any dwarf not love magma? Is this love one that will remain unrequited or will the dwarf engineer a way? How does the dwarf express their love?
Dwarven Animal Tamer & Creatures That Should Not Be Tamed (Dwarf Fortress)
- What creatures is this dwarf taming? Do they stop at one or continue on to other creatures that also shouldn't be tamed? What motivated this taming? What sort of purpose will any tamed creatures be put to? Does the dwarf actually succeed or is this a story that ends in early tragedy?

Solo: Nie Huaisang (The Untamed)
- For solo Nie Huaisang, if you want to write ships instead of gen, I am open to the following ships as a focus: Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji, Nie Huaisang/Nie Zonghui, Nie Huaisang/Lan Xichen, Lan Qiren/Nie Huaisang, Jiang Yanli/Nie Huaisang.
- I am super thirsty for Nie Huaisang content. Throw any character you want in with him. Nie Huaisang plotting after the movie? Nie Huaisang having lighthearted adventures during his time in The Cloud Recesses? Nie Huaisang settling into his life post-revenge and figuring out what he wants to do and who he is now? 10k of Nie Huaisang catching and collecting birds? I will take it all.
- Consider also: time travel fix-it. Nie Huaisang takes his powers of plotting and uses them to arrange everything to his satisfaction.
- Any sort of canon divergent AU. Nie Huaisang figures out about the altered music earlier. Nie Huaisang decides to interfere in how things are developing with Wei Wuxian and the war for reasons. Nie Huaisang gets his revenge in a slightly different way.
- Nie Huaisang romance! Arranged marriages, ships that take place in canon divergence, ships that take place in canon as is, sentinel/guide AUs, lending porn somehow leads to trying to recreate it--go as tropey or as low key as you'd like.
- Reddit: I'd love cultivation world + Reddit/the internet, but I will also take modern world + cultivation. Keep canon powers, add cultivation internet. Give me my faves on Reddit asking if [terrible situation] makes them the asshole or even other characters posting stuff that includes the characters I'm requesting.
Solo: Wei Wuxian (The Untamed)
- For solo Wei Wuxian, if you want to write ships instead of gen, I am open to the following ships as a focus: Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji. For vids only, I'm also open to a focus on Wei Wuxian/Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian/Wen Ning.
- I love Wei Wuxian a lot. Feel free to throw anyone you want in with him, too. I'd be especially interested in post-canon case fic (Wei Wuxian is good at solving mysteries!), horror stories with Wei Wuxian at the center (as the protagonist or as the monster during the war or as a horror story parents tell their children about later), fix-its or AUs where he gets to stay at Lotus Pier without compromising his values, time travel fix-its, time travel break-its, time loops, and canon divergence.
- For time travel: feel free to make it all better or make it much, much worse. As I stated with my DNW exception, clearly labeled time travel break-its can do what they want so long as Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang, A-Yuan, Little Apple, and Lan Wangji aren't permanently killed. (Just please give me a heads up in the form of a time travel break-it tag, an author's note, an e-mail through the mod, or some other way I can brace myself first.) You can go full on power fantasy or break the power fantasy into tiny, tiny pieces or something in between.
- Romance! Arranged marriages, ships that take place in canon divergence, ships that take place in canon as is, sentinel/guide AUs, everyone tries to get the Tiger Seal by trying to marry their family/themselves off to Wei Wuxian and [person] actually wants to marry Wei Wuxian--go as tropey or as low key as you'd like.
- Reddit: I'd love cultivation world + Reddit/the internet, but I will also take modern world + cultivation. Keep canon powers, add cultivation internet. - Five /r/ threads about Wei Wuxian and one he made himself. Jin Ling like, "I stabbed my estranged uncle? AITA?" and then the explanation has a number of people go, "I did not expect this." Jin Zixun asking for legal advice about how to pursue justice for these holes in him when he knows who did it and after a few suspiciously inciting comments is like, "I'm going to take it into my own hands!!"
Lan Qiren/Nie Huaisang (The Untamed & MDZS)
- Nie Huaisang has a different plan for catching Jin Guangyao, and he's going to recruit Lan Qiren to do it. (For my permanent noncanonical character death DNW, feel free to throw in a single line about a backup plan and I'll assume MXY will take things into his own hands … or you could also have the backup plan activate and Nie Huaisang also dealing with Lan Wangji & Wei Wuxian getting in the way of his legitimate investigation with Lan Qiren just as it's about ready to be presented before the cultivation world when they were supposed to be distracted by a wild goose hunt/hand/sword spirit.)
- Post-canon, Nie Huaisang makes an unlikely friend and … falls in love? How did this happen? Don't look at him. He doesn't know. He just doesn't know.
- Time travel fic in which Nie Huaisang goes back a little earlier than he'd anticipated and Lan Qiren is much, much hotter than he remembered.

He did not want to stand up to an angry Jiang Wanyin today! How did Wei Wuxian reveal himself this early? Nie Huaisang would really like to know. >:( Oh, oops, Wei Wuxian is flirting with him now. This is not as awkward as Wei Wuxian seems to think it should be.
- In an AU where we're not discussing the fact that Lan Wangji is in love with Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang brings back his crush Wei Wuxian to help him and arranges to have it happen on a Nie night hunt.
- Nie Huaisang did not actually give the manuscript to Mo Xuanyu. He was on his way to Mo Village to investigate and see if he couldn't gather another witness against Jin Guangyao. He did not expect to run into a rebodied Wei Wuxian, but here they are.

Solo: Uchiha Itachi
- For solo Itachi, if you want to create Itachi ships instead of gen, I'm okay with Itachi/Sakura, Itachi/Kisame, Itachi/Jiraiya, and Itachi/Naruto. For vids only, I'm also open to a focus on Itachi/anyone he isn't directly related to within one degree of relation (so anyone who isn't Sasuke or his parents).
- Itachi had a plan. He had not intended to live through it. Somehow, he did. What now?
- Itachi is killing this time travel fix-it (and kidnapping his little brother once he's done with the fix-it-with-killing part).
- Itachi's ROOT drop off point is compromised (and it only took him X years to see this happen), so he switches to reporting to Jiraiya instead, as he's both easier to access and Konoha's spymaster. Because Jiraiya may not be read in on everything, Itachi gives him a full update. If Danzou hadn't wanted that, he should've changed protocol to disallow it. (If going with Itachi/Jiraiya here, please set it after Itachi is 18+.)
- AU in which Madara never left the village, there was no bunny goddess, and Itachi actually gets a very nice, very peaceful life, or at least a life in which he doesn't have to help murder his clan.

- This is bait, but if anyone else wants to take it up, I would be delighted
- Seriously, I don't have time for much of a sign up right now, which is why all of the copy-pasted parts, but I do want this as much as the rest!
- I love all types of Sole Survivors. My favorite is a sarcastic/curious Sole Survivor, but again: I love them all. Whatever name you want to use, whether it's the default or otherwise, I am fine with.
- Deacon is my absolute favorite companion, and it's a crying shame we cannot romance him. I love his humor, his disguises, his lies, and the way, despite everything, he really, truly genuinely cares. I loved running into him as a guard just outside Diamond City and as a trader elsewhere (his comment about "for trade things" made me laugh and wonder, "Are you even trying anymore?") and just--pretty much every time I turned around, and I love that he vouches for you even if you haul ass straight to the Railroad at level one as a complete nobody. He has no reason to have faith in the Sole Survivor, but he does. I love best a Sole Survivor who does their best to bear out that faith, as someone who gives him hope again, if not in their words, then their actions. Also, sarcasm buddies for life.
