I think my time away broke my flash fic at will abilities or something. Once I have mastered the urge to write a 5k+ kidfic sequel to Happily Ever After with Goats in response to [personal profile] nel_ani's prompt, maybe I will manage some of the others.

Does anyone know if there is Erfworld fic? And if it involves Jack Snipe, Charlie, or Maggie? I know, I know, fandom of one most likely, especially if my google fu is anything to go by. I suppose I can save up for next Yuletide.

Relatedly, does anyone have any recs for books, webcomics, or games with fandoms? I am rather full up on shows, but if you have anything outstanding that seems like a good lure for a between-main-fandoms Tuesday (see in past: Chuck, Psych, Supernatural), I will take it. Or movies, though A-Team may have been a one-off thing and had a TV show before it besides.

I spent twenty minutes going through my folders for getting a head-start on this years Five Days of Tuesday, and I'd like to add something that I'm actively watching, reading, or otherwise engaging. Otherwise I'm mostly stuck with SPN fic several seasons out of date and which will take me forever to finish regardless. In case that sounds appealing, I warn you that these include things like a) angelpreg b) Gabriel failing at seducing Dean while Sam accidentally convinces Cas to be his angel boyfriend c) kidfic (yes, this is separate from the angelpreg).

What I am saying here is pretty please lure me into a fandom where I will be vulnerable to fic ideas.

Homestuck seems to have a rather healthy fandom, although I keep hearing you have to give it a bit to get started. (Full disclosure: I'm having a hard time getting through Homestuck, although I'm assured it gets more engaging as you go.) Oglaf's always popular at Yuletide, although I don't know how much activity it has outside of that.

Possibly Grimm or Once Upon a Time for television? They both did fairly well at Yuletide this season and are brand new shows, so. (I think Grimm's well-set for becoming a slash fandom.)

I'm just starting Act 3 of Homestuck, and I'm going to talk to a friend to see if I should stick it out or give up. I do like Rose, and I just met Jade, but I'm not sure I can deal with the style of it. : /

If you want women, definitely Once Upon a Time. Which isn't to say that it doesn't have some issues, but I'm enjoying it. In contrast, unless Grimm changed significantly since its first episode, which is the only one I saw, it's all dudes all the time. I... sincerely doubt it's changed excessively. However, apparently the terrible German is a source of amusement for people know German.

I am going to second Homestuck, although the first act is slow and there are many -ism problems. But all the ladies are my favourites *_*

As far as non-tv fandoms go, I don't have any recommendations. I've been sticking with tv fandom because it's more accessible and there's more content to expand upon and explore (aside from movies). Sherlock has been pretty awesome so far. Sherlock fandom is pure crack, too. It - along with Avengers Movie-verse - has been dividing my attention from Supernatural (which is still my main fandom, but it's nice to have fandoms outside of it).

I also keep hearing amazing things about Downton Abbey. My twitter feed was practically on fire last night about one development or another, so I guess it's srs bsns.

re: Sherlock: Cool, cool. Understandable on the fandom front. But, if you find yourself suddenly compelled by, say, Irene Adler....>.>

The season is already over. There were only three episodes, and it concluded last Sunday. I have it, if you ever want to hang out and watch it some time. I have another friend, whom I am having a Sherlock viewing with (this is the one who also likes Doctor Who, and who I think you should meet because you might get along). I don't mind watching it over and over again; it's a good enough series to warrant multiple viewings. (I put S1 on for background noise sometimes)

I'm going to have to check out Downton Abbey too. I keep catching snippets whenever my mom has it on Sunday nights, and I'm making my way to the kitchen. It seems intriguing.

I am crazy-obsessed with Grimm. Like, I was SUPER disappointed by this fall season of TV, and then I finally got around to the 3 episodes of Grimm I'd recorded on the DVR, and I was IN LOVE.

Once Upon A Time (with caveats maybe but it has awesome ladies being friends!) At the moment the book series I've been reccing to people is The Pellinor Series by Alison Croggon, which I once described as 'somewhat like if LOTR had a female main character'

Needed to say, I would read the HELL out of "Gabriel failing at seducing Dean while Sam accidentally convinces Cas to be his angel boyfriend"!

Also, I *love* Once Upon a Time, it does have several awesome ladies. I'm a sucker for fairytale remakes:) Grimm, I've gotten into, but it took a few episodes. It is pretty much all dudes, and I feel it has potential it isn't living up to, but maybe will later?

Books, well, it doesn't have much of a fandom yet, but it does have fannish supporters, The Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger, 4 books so far. They actually read a bit like good fanfiction (which may be why not too much as been written yet). They have LGBT characters, a new take on werewolves and vampires and ghosts and British society, lots of snark, and a weaponized parasol. I rather like them.

Well, it doesn't have to be kids, they would prolly have a hard time stopping their adventuring so kids wouldn't be practical. Maybe they could just get some cute and fluffy pets, since Varric might still be sad about the goats.
