Hi! I love all of the fandoms and characters I'm requesting, so if something is longer or shorter than its counterparts, it's due to how much I had to say, not how much I love the request.

Also, as ever and always, I would like to emphasize, please don't feel obligated to read this letter in its entirety (or at all!). If you already have an idea of what you want to do from just the AO3 requests, go for it! This is all to (I hope) make it easier on you, and I am a big believer in optional details being optional. There being fic for my characters and fandoms will make me happy. Everything else is icing on delicious, delicious cake. Every single prompt is very, very optional and intended as "if you need an idea."

If I flub the letter writing and editing process and mention something in my letter that is not on AO3 and in my sign-ups or if I phrase something poorly, I'd also like to emphasize that that's on me and you're free to pretend you didn't see it (or to ask the mods if you're still concerned). My DNWs are all listed under DNWs in my optional details on AO3. If it's something not listed under DNWs, then that's a preference, but I'm still going to read/look at and comment on your fic and (if history is anything to judge) be really happy with it.

General Notes

On past gifts

I've received works in the past for several of my requested fandoms, which I loved! I just want more. If you matched me on it, I am sure I will love whatever you make me, whether it's along the lines of the gifts I've already received or something entirely new.

On other gifts

I am always open to treats and late gifts. If you want to treat with mediums I haven't requested, I'm open to that, though I requested both fic and art for everything I’m requesting this Chocolate Box.

Recursive works

Recursive works are fanworks based on fanworks (remixes, sequels, illustration of fic, etc.). If you'd like to create a recursive work, I'm open to it for past gifts where you have permission (blanket or otherwise) and my own works. I'm also open to it for other works I know and love, but you may want to check through the mod to be sure I remember it even if it's something I've commented on in the past.

Format Likes

I like all ratings for works, from General Audiences to Explicit. For fic, I'm open to any length, from drabbles and drabble series to just over the min to sprawling epics. I like both traditional fic and non-traditional and experimental formats, including interactive fiction, CYOA, epistolary, and multimedia. I prefer past or present tense. I generally prefer third person (especially consistent third person limited where POV shift only happens in scene breaks or doesn't happen at all) or a match to canon (which in some cases is going to be first or second) or a match to the standards of the form (e.g. first person for epistolary, letters, and journals; second person for CYOA and IF). (I'm open to everything! These are just preferences.)

Art Likes

I like rough sketches and clean line art both, bright and dark colors to set mood, comics, scenery, single and group character poses, the cute and the creepy. All stages, all skill levels, all types, I always like seeing what someone else comes up with. Go as E- or G-rated as you'd like. I especially like character expressions and things that set mood (color, body language, composition, etc). I'm including some pose ideas, but please don't feel like you need to include any of them.

For shipping purposes, some non-explicit poses I especially like for ships are characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), and pressing their foreheads together.

For explicit poses, feel free to take anything from my smut likes, but for something visual, I especially like bruises and marks, face touching, and hair-petting or pulling.

DNW Clarifications and Explications:

Hopelessly unhappy endings: I'd prefer either a happy ending or the sense that there's a roadmap to get there eventually.

Unrequested permanent requested character death: Impermanent requested character death is fine and baked into a few of my likes and canons. I would like all requested characters to be alive at the end of the story unless the prompt/freeform actually goes there. Wrt Endgame, you can set things pre-canon events, have them miraculously survive, have canon diverge, etc., and I will take it.

Comas and unrequested real life serious illness: Weird confined to canon stuff like Without a Cure, qi deviations, or chakra exhaustion are fine. Cancer is not.

Graphic, descriptive eye trauma: Non-descriptive references are fine.

Infidelity etc.: Poly outside of MCU Peter/Tony is fine. (In my sign-up and the fandom section, though, it is a definite DNW in MCU for Peter/Tony. Also, I still don’t want MBJ/anyone other than SQH, though it’s fine to have simultaneous MBJ/SQH and SQH/SQQ.) I don't want anyone confused on the fact that it is poly, not cheating.

In general, my major concern is to avoid a) definitely cheating in any direction, b) something in which one part of the ship thinks the other part is in a closed relationship and that's what the main ship is engaging in, c) something in which one half of a closed relationship believes the other is cheating on them and we the audience are likely to also think that's what's going on and which comprises a major, ongoing part of the story as opposed to something brief and mistaken.

Also, if a character is alive and the other character knows they're alive and they're in a committed monogamous relationship, even if everyone else thinks they're dead or the situation looks dire, I'd prefer not to get a fic where the character moves on during that time; break-ups afterward due to changing circumstances and being a different person now are fine.

Focus on unrequested ships: Other relationships can be present or referenced, whether canonical or not, but I’d prefer not to have them as a focus.

Unrequested focus on unrequited love: For pining fic, characters can think it is, but I would like them to be wrong. For SVSSS, I’m open to foregrounded unrequited Airplane Bro -> Shen Yuan (and background unrequited LBH -> SQQ). For MCU, if you want to take the unrequited route for Peter -> Tony, I’d prefer it to be a minor part of the story and have a more general focus in that case (whether on the plot or the other parts of their relationship).

Romantic or sexual relationships between adults and minors or references to this. Adults being explicitly sexually attracted to people who are currently underage. Explicit underage sex: Aging up so everyone is over 18 is fine. Relationships between two people roughly the same age is fine, like a 17 and 19 year old. Minors having unrequited crushes on adults is fine. References to teenagers being sexually active in teenager-typical ways is fine, but I’d rather not get explicit sex scenes. For scenarios in which two adults knew each other when one was a minor, I'd prefer not to have direct references to the possibility that anything could've happened then, even if it's to emphasize that the younger adult is an adult now.

For something like Peter/Tony, you can go with a) setting a fic later, b) feelings that aren't currently going to be realized (in which case I would like the unrequited feelings part to be a minor part of the story), c) aging up within the setting/everything stays the same, but Peter is older, d) time travel shenanigans, e) something else I haven't thought of, but maybe you have.

Unrequested AUs or AUs in which canon universes with fantastical elements (magic, chakra, super powers, the Force) have said fantastical elements removed without anything equivalent to replace it and are turned entirely mundane: Canon divergence is fine. Anything on my likes lists, which I have currently or previously prompted, or which involves AU freeforms I have requested in other exchanges are all also fine.

Unrequested dub- or non-con or rape play: You're fine to include dubcon from my current likes or requests from this year's smut swap or h/c or other linked exchange letters. I'd prefer anything with consent affected (e.g. sex pollen, aphrodisiacs) for all characters involved in sex to already be into each other. I do not want non-con or rape play.

Contract or 24/7 BDSM or use of the word "master": Mentioning this because I have a lot of BDSM-related or adjacent likes. It wouldn't ruin my night or fic, but I'm not super into the formalized contract thing or it being the focus of a relationship/what the relationship is primarily about, and I don't want to accidentally set any traps for my author. I'm fine with and enjoy non-formalized play, with people having fun with pain, bondage, some power dynamics (e.g. Peter calling Tony "Mr. Stark" in bed, Hua Cheng’s entire relationship with Xie Lian), etc.

Painplay as a punishment or unintended and/or unwelcome sexual arousal from a punishment or torture: If someone's getting spanked, I want it to be because they want it. If someone's getting tortured, I don't want it to be sexual.

Anal without lubricant or stretching. Anal tearing: Using things that aren’t lube as lubricant going by porn logic is fine so long as there’s no damage from it, e.g. semen. For MXTX works, consider use of lubricant an AU I am always opted in to. I’m less concerned about showing the work and more concerned about not getting "like canon, complete with blood."

Fallout

General DNWs

Fallout DNWs:

• Permanent death of any non-Institute companions
• Pet (or traditionally a pet, e.g. cats and dogs) death
• Sole Survivor siding with the Institute or the Brotherhood

Other Notes:

I love all types of Sole Survivors. My favorite is a sarcastic/curious Sole Survivor, but again: I love them all. Whatever name you want to use, whether it's the default or otherwise, I am fine with. For Deacon/Sole Survivor, I have no preference for gender. (For Glory/FSS, I would like to keep the female part of that.) When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Deacon/Sole Survivor

What I like about these characters/this ship:

Deacon is my absolute favorite companion, and it's a crying shame we cannot romance him. I love his humor, his disguises, his lies, and the way, despite everything, he really, truly genuinely cares. I loved running into him as a guard just outside Diamond City and as a trader elsewhere (his comment about "for trade things" made me laugh and wonder, "Are you even trying anymore?") and just--pretty much every time I turned around, and I love that he vouches for you even if you haul ass straight to the Railroad at level one as a complete nobody. He has no reason to have faith in the Sole Survivor, but he does. I love best a Sole Survivor who does their best to bear out that faith, as someone who gives him hope again, if not in their words, then their actions. Also, sarcasm buddies for life.

Art prompts:

• Stealing Deacon’s glasses.
• Deacon's sunglasses break; the Sole Survivor has extras.
• Deacon helps the Sole Survivor with the art of the disguise.
• Picking up more junk.

Fic prompts:

• Picking up another sidequest.
• Wandering the Wasteland.
• Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot: I am good for this going either way (or both!), but I am cracking up at the idea of Deacon finally getting a good look at the Sole Survivor in Diamond City or Bunker Hill or elsewhere (maybe they went straight for exploring downtown and blundered their way into the Railroad) and immediately and internally panicking, bullshit cranked up to eleven, because oh no, they are really, really hot, and he absolutely did not plan for this. Prepared to suggest maybe they get a face change, because they really stick out, while also wanting them to keep that face forever.

Glory/Female Sole Survivor

What I like about these characters/this ship:

I fell in love with Glory when she pointed a huge-ass mini-gun at my character and that love only grew with every interaction. I loved getting to go on a mission with her. She’s funny in her own way and driven, and I love that she feels bad about killing the earlier versions of Synths even though they’re much more limited and robotic, and I love that she wants to change things. I just love her.

Art prompts:

• I bet that Glory could heft the mini-gun in one hand and the FSS in the other.
• In the middle of a shared mission.
• The FSS needs to sleep; Glory can keep watch.
• First kiss.

Fic prompts:

• Glory survives: after the defeat of the Institute.
• Stolen moments.
• Accidental Marriage due to Misunderstanding the Norms of Another Culture.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

General DNWs

Marvel DNWs:

• Poly in this specific fandom for the requested / ship
• Contentious break-up between Tony and Pepper. (For Peter/Tony and my infidelity DNW, I would like to point to: they never got back together post-Civil War or they have an amicable break-up. If you want, you don't even need to mention it, and I will go with my reading of choice.)
• Morgan existing only to be erased from existence within the story (never existing in the first place in the story is fine)
• Non-canon death of anyone important to Peter or Tony (e.g. May, Pepper, Ned, Rhodey), except impermanent requested character death. Death at all of Goose. (Essentially: Tony or Peter can die in time loops that are reset or die and be resurrected in other ways, but please don't kill Tony or Peter's other loved ones or Goose at all.)

Other Notes:

I have seen all of the MCU films. So long as you follow my DNWs, feel free to pull in anything from any of them or to ignore them at will. You could even pull in stuff from the comics or other Marvel properties if the fancy takes you, though I can't guarantee I'll get all your references. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Peter Parker/Tony Stark

What I like about these characters/ship:

I adore both of these characters. I enjoy mentor/protege relationships in general, but I think what I like the most about this, besides the setting and characters all taken individually, is the genuine affection they have for each other. Tony maybe has some unrealistic and unreasonable expectations for a fifteen year old ("I wanted you to be better"), complete with the lack of awareness from someone who was attending MIT at that age, but it's clear that he has high hopes for Peter from the very beginning and sees him as someone who can grow into a real hero. On Peter's side, he admires Tony not just as some distant idol, but as an actual person, and he seemed devastated at disappointing him. I love that in IW, Tony is able to describe in a handful of words what the problem is, and immediately Peter is on the same page. You can really see where they've gotten comfortable with each other, and I loved watching them really mesh on the fight scenes.

Whether it's platonic or otherwise, they click really well and have a really fun dynamic.

Art prompts:

Fic prompts:

• WWX actually killing and eating the bunnies
• On-screen dog attack. WWX's cynophobia is fine, as are references to possible dog bite scars! But no dogs on screen biting people in this particular canon, please
• LWJ/NHS/WWX as a V without LWJ/WWX

Other Notes:

If you want to include other characters in the fic, I especially love all the family members and friends of the requested characters, as well as the juniors. For Lan Wangji/Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian, my preference would probably be either a V with Wei Wuxian at the center or a triangle. When it comes to explicit fic, I have no strong preferences for who does a thing to whom.

Lan Wangji/Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian

What I like about these characters/ship:

I’m going to level with you. Wangxian is my OTP, but Nie Huaisang is my favorite character, so this is a case of going "smash the thing I love into the other thing I love." NHS has done wrong things, and I love him. My love started with him being the friend who loved fans and pretty things and shared his porn like the best friend you could ever have and then skyrocketed when I realized he was playing down his strengths and purposefully failing because he wanted to avoid potential qi deviation by Nie saber cultivation method. And then I realized he was manipulating things for the sake of finding his brother’s murderer and that was it, favorite status sealed, though WWX remains a second so close he might as well be first, too. (I love LWJ, too. These are all great characters.) Anyway, for NHS, I love his sneakiness, his love of art, his love of … other art, and that in a situation where he was without strong allies and no idea who to trust, he was like, "Let’s resurrect Wei Wuxian!" (I’m so sorry, Mo Xuanyu.)

I really do love his relationship with WWX, though, and in the absence of LWJ, probably would ship just NHS/WWX on its own! But … LWJ exists, and I want WWX and LWJ to be in love forever. In this one case, though, they can be in love with each other and also in love/lust/whatever with Nie Huaisang.

Art prompts:

• Nie Huaisang takes inspiration from Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian for his own work.
• Group hug.
• Nie Huaisang kisses Lan Wangji; Wei Wuxian appreciates watching.
• Can you fit three people on a single sword? They’re going to try.
• Lan Wangji can carry both of them.

Fic prompts:

• Multiple husband alliance marriage AU, in which everyone wants a piece of Wei Wuxian following the Sunshot Campaign, and throwing spouses at him seems like a good way get that. LWJ volunteers because he wants to marry him. NHS sees the perfect opportunity to escape from Nie cultivation and sit back and paint his fans without even the responsibility of being First Husband. WWX is confused about how with all these potential wives, he ended up with two husbands instead.
• Nie Huaisang is in a time loop. How this led to him in the middle of a relationship with Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian he just doesn’t know.
• Wei Wuxian wants to get his husband something special for their anniversary. A threesome is something special, right?
• Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married: Nie Huaisang’s brother is alive, victory! Nie Huaisang is no longer Nie Sect Leader. He’s also … married to Wei Wuxian? Who is still obliviously in love with Lan Wangji. Change the past again or, better yet, matchmake his own husband?

Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian

What I like about these characters/ship:

There is so much here I like and so much I’m still figuring out about how and why this has grabbed me so hard, but first up: I love both of these characters a lot.

Wei Wuxian is a delightful charming disaster who is fun and funny and cares way too much and absolutely cannot be stopped, whether it’s tucking his guts back in to keep fighting or secretly half-marrying the man he hasn’t even acknowledged to himself he’s in love with or rolling around on the ground calling himself Xian-Xian and proclaiming he’s three. He loves so fully and sacrifices so willingly and is willing to lie flagrantly where he thinks it’s necessary or shamelessly shout the truth in a room full of people. He’s flawed, but he’s trying. He’s a genius, but he also fails to understand he spent years and years desperately flirting with Lan Wangji. He’s prideful and he’s willing to kill in gruesome ways; he’ll hide his most selfless acts and he’ll sacrifice his planned future for a hated group of people. He’s a mess, and I love him.

Lan Wangji is so much fun wherever he is on his journey. He starts off claiming his own set of punishment for Wei Wuxian pulling them both out of the Cloud Recesses. He keeps the bunnies Wei Wuxian gave him (and gets more so they won’t be lonely!). He waits and waits for his mom. He’s difficult to read, but he feels deeply. He’s quiet, but he makes every word count. He stands against the entire cultivation world and his own family and clan for the sake of love. He spends thirteen years raising Lan Sizhui and missing Wei Wuxian deeply and going wherever the chaos is, then ends up with a second chance. Even though he thinks Wei Wuxian is using his feelings as a weapon against him, he refuses to let that drive him away. HE WROTE WEI WUXIAN A LOVE SONG. He’s a good person who’ll stand up for those who need it, starts off rigid and learns to bend, and is an unrepentant romantic. Also, he is adorable when he’s drunk.

Together, they’re a disaster for years, but eventually work it out and live happily ever after. In every iteration, that’s what I want for them: for them to (even if it’s eventually) get a happily ever after together. They’re great, okay. They are the greatest.

Ling Wen/Yushi Huang

What I like about these characters/ship:

For Ling Wen, my favorite moment was probably when Xie Lian called her for help and she told him, "I know." She is competent and practical, but she also has soft spots and affection for people. She doesn't let that affection stop her, but she does let it inform her actions. Her willingness to take a male form because she's more powerful that way is so great. I love that after so long being quietly efficient in the background, in the end, everyone realizes how much they relied upon her. I love that her punishment was getting her job back, this time with added appreciation.

For Yushi Huang, I love how genuinely kind and good she is. She does her job and helps and doesn't expect anything in return. Her worshippers are poor farmers, and she's satisfied with that. She helps Xie Lian with the water moving spiritual tool and expects nothing in return. She shows up to help when everything is falling apart and holds no grudges for the past. She was willing to sacrifice her life for her country and ascended instead. She's steady and steadfast and humble and happy with what she has. I want her to have every nice thing.

This is very much a case of "I love these two characters and would love to see what happens when you put them together."

What I like about these characters/ship:

Repeating from above: For Yushi Huang, I love how genuinely kind and good she is. She does her job and helps and doesn't expect anything in return. For Pei Ming, I did not expect to love the unrepentant love and leave them dude, but the way he cares so much for Pei Su endeared him to me, and his attempts to be a good bro facilitating other people’s romance tipped me right into loving him. He’s honest about what he is and isn’t willing to offer, and while he has flaws, I really enjoy him as a character.

I have a lot of feelings about Yushi Huang keeping her scar and offering Pei Ming use of her sword and the way she’s unflappable around him, while he’s a bit of a mess hiding under bluster. Their dynamic is great, and I’d love to see what could come of it and their history. I absolutely believe that he already admires her, no matter how much he might hate to be reminded of their past, and that he could fall in love with her. Who couldn’t, really.

For SQQ/SQH, I am open to transmigrated and pre-transmigrated both. In the case of bondage, painplay, or power dynamics, I'd prefer SQH to be the one getting tied up, in pain, or in the subordinate role, though that's just a preference, and I would be open to whatever.

Mobei-jun/Shang Qinghua

What I like about these characters/ship:

Loyalty kink! Mobei-jun taking "I will follow you for the rest of my life" seriously, even when Shang Qinghua was saying it to say it! Mobei-jun throwing Shang Qinghua in the cave, but then handing out beatdowns when someone dares to actually attack him. Shang Qinghua, who never uses his sword even on joint Cang Qiong missions, grabbing a sword and flinging himself off the ridge to catch his falling king! ("Fuck, he can’t fly!")

THE EXTRAS. The demon protection squad! Not-bed-sharing! Sleeping on the floor with a leash around his neck as one of his very first interactions! Shang Qinghua says being pathetic is what men find hot, and Mobei-jun is satisfied, because Shang Qinghua has spent their entire acquaintance acting pathetic around him, but also makes plans to let Shang Qinghua see him at his most powerless and vulnerable. Shang Qinghua pretends to betray him and nearly gets him arm torn off trying to protect him, and Mobei-jun somehow finds the energy and determination to get up and drive off his uncle. THREE TIMES A DAY. How utterly oblivious Shang Qinghua was and how quietly serious Mobei-jun remained about him. The cart! Mobei-jun will make him noodles!!!

Sorry, but I am still at the exclamation marks and hearts stage of loving them. From Mobei-jun’s point of view, this silly, weak human appears out of nowhere with a bunch of canon fodder and pledges himself, and he’s waiting for and expecting betrayal, but all along Shang Qinghua shows him loyalty and slowly steals his heart. From Shang Qinghua’s point of view, that is his dream man and favorite character and oh shit, he is unattainably hot and somehow Shang Qinghua went and fell in love, totally unpredictable, who could have guessed. And at the end, they come to understand each other a bit more, and Shang Qinghua stays.

What I like about these characters/ship:

Snark! Bonding over their shared homeworld and SQH’s questionable author choices! They have a relationship with each other and can be open with each other in ways that aren’t possible with anyone else in SVSSS. SQQ gets enjoyment out of bullying SQH, and SQH thrives even on negative attention. See: his gleeful reading of Cucumber Bro’s comments just prior to electrocuting himself. SQQ read every single chapter and extra and had every bit of merchandise. He’s SQH’s biggest fan and worst critic, and I love that they both ended up in the world SQH wrote.

I love them together and separately and think they’d actually be great and have a lot of fun together.
